Back with another newb question. Heck, this may not be a newb question… Anyway. What’s the best way to store seeds? Mephisto sends a nice cardboard box with a purchase from them and I consolidated my other seeds from other breeders into the box. Where I go from there not to sure. Thanks for any replies. Take care and enjoy your day.

I story mine in a old biscuit tin at the back of my wardrobe.
I'm planning on buying a wine fridge soon for cold curing concentrates and long curing flower. When I get that I will move my seed collection to the fridge.

Mine are in a canning jar wrapped with aluminum tape, in individual containers (small zips, or paper micro envelope - with small holes for air to exchange), with some dried rice to act as dessicant, and kept in the back of the fridge until needed. Dry, dark and cold, and good seeds will last a long time with appropriate germination technique. Older seeds are best soaked in 3% Hydrogen Peroxide solution for a few hours after a good shake in a sandpaper tube to help water to get into the seed coat. The coat gets tougher with age. :pighug:

Depending on the size of your seed stash, you can use any of the above suggestions, or for larger collections, something like the below.

Amazon product ASIN B09KGC8GN5
This is what I use and keep in the fridge. Each vial can be individually labeled, has a gasketed cap, and can easily hold 50 or more seeds (depending on seed size). Plus, it pairs up well with my seed inventory spreadsheet for easy location of the exact strain I'm looking for at any time.
