Okay, I haven't even planted anything yet, but it's quite obvious to me that, with one order in hand and another on the way, that the odds are I'm going to buy more seeds than I'll be using, at least at first. The only advice I ever see is "a cool, dark place". I'm thinking an empty tea tin or a small tupperware container painted black for light tossed in the refrigerator. Am I nuts? What does everyone else use?

I know a couple guys who store their beens in the freezer. I myself store mine in the fridge within several layers of plastic zip lock bags, including the zippys that the beans arrive in, (all stuffed into an empty vitamin bottle). Most importantly, add something with your beans to absorb moisture. I use instant rice myself .... :peace:

longterm storage I would put them in the freezer, to get to next year.

Short term, cool and dark maybe in the fridge, or out in the shed for the winter. Excessive heat, and moisture will do more harm than it will do good.
