Yes you can basically do hydro using Autopots. I tried last grow with the coir. Got the hang of it second half of the grow but it was rough for a minute. I plan to try coir mixed with soil next grow, and mega crop - since I have the sample of it.

Right on, Dream! I love that you are so experimental, and willing to try different techniques from grow to grow!

Buds on both plants are fattening up, with Queen 2 doing her late flower push. She is really trying hard to connect buds on her long stems. She smells more like strawberry pineapple and an earthiness as her buds mature.

Queen 1 calyx are swelling and frosting up nicely. Strawberry and cream is what I get from her! Both plants are mostly cloudy now, so the light is at the end of the tunnel now.

The two colas I clipped are drying in paper bags. I rotate them a few times a day, to help them out because I will be away for a few days. Looking forward to a preview taste when I return!

This is why I will use stem trainers as my primary LST method going forward:

This is a picture of one of the stem trainer colas.

Not only did it grow to be over 14 inches, but it allowed all these mini colas to develop.

Those would have been small side buds if I allowed the cola to grow naturally. Sure the cola would be a little taller and thicker, but training it will produce much more top bud.

I highly recommend these things.

Thanks DG! I love these queens! I am now second guessing my grow choice for next run. Was thinking Mephisto, but I am thinking I need to go with another high producing strain first. Thinking DP Glueberry, or Fast buds Gorilla Glue now. Need to fill my medicine cabinets before I move to Mephisto. Their strains look frosty and tasty, but are usually so small.

I have seen so many Mephisto plants grown well in good environments produce 2 ounces, while some of the DP strains still exceed that in the hands of newbs, in far from ideal environments. Wth only two plants, I need to fill the med cabinets first, I think.

I get it! Ripley’s OG is supposed to grow big. Dinafem has some XXL varieties. DP — always a good choice. And the FB GG most certainly fits the bill.

I a man running a FB GG next run. If you do go DP, you know I am a big lover of the Glueberry OG. Both phenos are extremely resin filled and strong. In fact much stronger IMO than many other strains I have grown that said they were higher in thc. I am running her in the fall again.

Run her first, then you can try and run the blueberry strain. This is another on the short list of best tasting strain on the planet. I am running PineApple Express, IMO the best tasting strain out there, Purple Nuggets is going to be lifted up somewhere in the grow to control canopy, as I know she will be stubby, but I can only run one tent at a time. I will do my best to control through training. Orange Biscuit and Sour Livers are also going in there to fill out the Mephisto strains I will be running.

That's the line up. Your DP, and/or larger strain yield plan is not a bad idea. I always have to take my weed stashes, and chop them into hash before they go bad because I just grow more than I could ever use.

With that set up, it won't be long before you are way ahead of the game. Just give yourself two more grows rom so, and you can be more finicky with your choices. Smart on your part to recognize that. Glueberry is an awesome strain and you wouldn't be sacrificing anything.
