Hey guys, i just started my second grow and I’m so excited.

Im growing in soil, I’ve just planted 5 plants
3 of them is the Sensi Skunk auto and the other 2 i have no idea what are they!

They all about 8 days old, at first i hanged up a 400w hps but it was super hot made my temp up to 34c and my humid low as 10%.
So I changed the light to an 200w led, but it’s not for growing plants by any mean.

Could you please take a look at the attached photos and help me with your feedback?

Thank you,

looking good so far mate i would look into getting a air cooled hood for you light it will bring down the temps a good bit

Do you have an air inlet for the extractor to pull from?

No not really thats the only thing im missing kinda broke this month lol!
Im paying a small fan in 10 days tho!

Nice spotting.

Cut a circular hole at the bottom of your box.
Tape over this hole (on the outside) a single layer of tights/pantyhose/whatever-the-hell-you-call-them-where-you-are-from.

No need for an actual intake fan then as the extractor will pull in what it needs and the pantyhose stops bugs getting in.

i thought about it but if i shot the doors it would be cooking inside!

you will never get more air circulation than your extractor fan can actually push out.
An intake hole the same diameter as the extractor fan blades will give you 100% of what you need to have the extractor working at 100%.
That will get your growspace temperature as low as it possibly can be with just air circulation.

The circulation will keep your temperature down, provided that the extractor does not dump its air into the same room that the intake is pulling from.

Of course, it all depends on WHERE in the world you are.
If you are in the middle of summer with 30+C temps, then you will need to go down the route of an Air Conditioner.
I have a 1.2m3 tent with 567 actual wall watts of LEDs.
I have no cooling apart from Air replacement/circulation and my extractor fan is on low speed with a closed tent (sucking in the walls), so the air circulation is actually pretty low compared to what it COULD be with that fan.
The extractor dumps outside, and the replacement air gets pulled from the room the tent is in.
The Air temp in the room is about 19C, so I get a rise of 5-6C in the tent with current circulation

Its not summer yet in here, right now on day time it reaches up to 28c, humidity is pretty low in this country
