Hi there,

I am new to growing but managed to harvest one amensia haze, it got sick twice though so yield was bad.

Now for this second run I'v come a bit more prepared, with a 96"X48X78 growing tent - 4" Carbon Filter - 16 inch Wall Mount Oscillating fan,a small humidifier and 600w LED light.

There is no fan going in, but the outer environment (room) is equipped with an AC that I set to auto 26C. So temp inside tent is ranges from 26-29 depending on the day (hot climate). Humidity inside tent ranges from 40% to 50%. Sometimes I see that it reached a max of 58% but never when am there hahaha.

Now lets talk details:

2 Amnesia Haze sprouted and planted on 17 May, so about two weeks old.
2 Moby Dick, only one survived and planted around 22 May, 11 days old.

All in 3 gallon fabric pots.

What I'v been doing is just maintaining the environment and watering them everyday (not too much a liter per pot maybe)

Now I'v encountered an issue, I had a cheap PH meter from my last grow I opted to use but it screwed me. So I have PH down and I know tap water is around 7.3-7.5 so I regulated as necessary but it turns out the meter was fucked and stopped working altogether. I immediately bought a new one which is way better it has cap and shit, also measures water and room temp. Anyhow, I tested the water I was using and it turns out it has a PH of 2.5 (this water had one tea spoon of FF grow big and one tea spoon of calmag and also PH down horrible me I kinda new I didn't need it) water container is approximately 5 gallons.

Fortunately I did not use much of this water, only 3 liters spread over the three plants.
So caught it in time, and flushed all three plants with room temp PHed(6.8) water. Wanted 6.5 but I didnt want to overdo it with PH down.

After flushing I tested runoff and it was 7.22PH

My questions are:

Firstly:
When do I start to feed again properly and how much?
Should I follow info in this thread for feed?
https://www.autoflower.org/threads/the-way-of-the-fox.52860/

Secondly:
I have been running them on 24 hour light should that be changed in the future? there are many opinions when it comes to this question.

Thirdly:
Is 30C Temp okay? should I increase humidity?

I know its a long read, been following these forums for a while now and I have a lot of questions so any tips, comments or anything I am open to it.

Didn't get a chance to take a picture of the Moby Dick, I'll add that soon.

How do they look so far? Seeing a bunch of threads here made me think they are a bit underdeveloped!?

The seedlings look pretty good. One looks a little too stretched, but shouldn't be a problem going forward.
I'm curious, what is the 4" filter doing since it doesn't have an inline fan?
Be sure to start nutes at 1/4 of the published amount. See how that goes before upping.
24/7 lighting schedule is my favorite with mass built led lights. I used that lighting schedule for a long time before changing to Autocobs.
My ph pen took a dump last week too. I barely get a year and a half out of any of my ph pens before the need to replace probe. They start drifting far too much.
You want higher humidity for vegging, and lower humidity for flower.
My average tent temp is 76-82. your temp of 85 degrees isn't too bad for an autoflower, but you may want to lower for flowering.

Hey! thanks for the reply.

Regarding the filter I don't really know actually, am not sure of anything except that it takes hot air out of the tent.
Should I get inline fan? and is the carbon filter not doing anything?

I shall follow the 24/7 lighting schedule for now.

Lower humidity isn't a problem (dry climate) so I can just stop the humidifier and turn it on when needed. I'll try working on a solution to lower temp to upper 70s

I added a picture of Moby dick 11 days old apprx.

The inline fan has to either suck the hot air through it and out of tent, or the inline fan sucking out heat to and through the filter outside tent. A 4" fan is too small for your size tent. I've had my fan/filter outside my tent for a long time, keeping more room in the ceiling area. Not too many people do it that way, but it works for me very well. Some others think you can't do it that way, but the are just wrong. My filters last as long as those who have it inside the tent.

I start my lights 30" above the seedlings, then lower as they become more established. The 30" is what I used for my old led lights too. You want some stretch, but not too much stretch.

Moby is looking fine.

So should I do something about it? change how to filter works? or do I need a air coming in from other fan?

Thanks man

If inside tent, mount fan and filter near ceiling using straps or bungee cords, then connect ducting and run that out of the tents top port or top wall port and that ducting goes to a window to blow out etc. Just make sure you have the fan running the correct direction. I suggest you search and study some pics.

The fan is osculating, its exactly in the middle of the tent (horizontally) and its on the lowest speed and not directed to the plants since they'll be dancing lol. When the fan is blowing above them I see them moving and sometimes this movement concerns me cause its seems too much! but like you have said I'll check out pictures and see whats up. I turned off the carbon filter for now to see how the temp/humidity will change.

Is it a good idea to get a standing AC unit for the tent? and wouldn't those produce hot air also from the back?

Thanks

New update, so I checked after about six hours to see how carbon filter shutdown changed stuff. And what a surprise haha when I opened the tent everything was misty and humidity at 88% temp 29C and the walls were also quite wet so I stopped humidifier and turned on carbon filter to high to suck air out and renew the air and make shit semi dry again. I guess its benefit for me is to keep the air circulating and keep humidity in check.

So I took some photos and i noticed a slight discoloration at the tips of one of AH and the Moby dick.
Does second AH looks okay? its has some slightly more greenish and less greenish areas.

Waiting for soil to dry and maybe add nuts in the next watering? your recommendations would be valuable. Nuts that I have are FF trio and calmag.

I'm talking about an inline fan, not an oscillating fan, which ideally, you want to blow over the tops of the plants. You've got me a little confused. I thought the carbon filter was not connected to an inline fan. Definitely check out pics.
