I'm wondering if there's a tutorial for scrog-ing autos? Did a search but they all seemed different with most on non autos. Has an experienced grower, whose done auto scrog-ing, posted a tutorial?
Thanks.

Thanks for the link Namvet. I posted the question because of the short auto times, no 6 week veg period. Just wondering when to start weaving the plant through the screen, potential problems, tips or tricks, etc., from someone who's done scrog for autos before. I figure no sense reinventing the wheel or running into avoidable problems if possible.

i think it works out about the same, just keep the screen lower to start with. and with scrog, you want to let the tips grow through about a week or 2 into flowering, so you end up with over a month of growth before letting them grow through. they should be fairly sizable by that point, especially if you've been keeping them below that screen...

Thanks for the comments & the link, appreciated.
From the comments from the grower in the link I believe I'll put the screen on at ~ 2 weeks & start bending them when the 1st hairs show?

jmh, if you go with a 2 inch high screen, you're going to be bending them under as soon as the reach it - you want to keep tucking your plants under that screen for several weeks. during those several weeks, your plants will first show sex in the form of pre-flowers. then after a few more weeks, they're actually transition into full on flowering, and once that happens, you want to keep tucking them under for another week or 2 after that. once you're about 2 weeks into ACTUAL flowering (not 2 weeks after they show sex), you should let all the individual flowering tips grow up through the screen. so really, a proper scrog with autoflowers still requires almost daily attention for about 1-2 months, depending on speed of growth and flowering. hope this helps clear things up a little!

Youdontknowme, are you saying put the screen on when the plants are 2", at 2" level above the pot? I'm trying to find out what's a height to start (bending) keeping autos under the chicken wire?
Thanks.

I think the original sog concept was developed for photos using clones at different time periods for a continual harvest. Autos dont really clone well so basically you are just starting them from seed at chosen intervals for the same concept.
