Few small answers came back from my lighting gurus

One said UVA an far blue will increase trics, but UVB is better.

Another gave me a great link about reptile flouro and UVB, all bulbs are not created equal.

When asked about 30w cfl reptile UVB he said
"in testing with a uvb meter they do NOT emit enough at 2 inches away and alot of the cfl reptile lamps also emit ucv which we do not want at all"

the reptile bulbs i use are a and b , zero mention of c

didnt ever need a uv tester as my plants dont lie and are the testers for me , one flowering room with cfls as supplimental lighting and one without , same clones from the same mother og kush for 2 years + , the ones in the room with cfls ALWAYS end up far more covered in trichs , will be investing in some reptile cfl bulbs for the other room as soon as this terrible money situation im in is sorted

also , my reptile cfls arent even close to being 2 inches from my plants and still help to produce a very VERY noticable amount more trichs

As you say, try it yourself. I run 2x26w reptiglow 10 and do see a difference. I run them 20 hours a day on the same timer as my main light. Perhaps that is the difference, period of exposure.

The most interesting is the phillips narrow band bulbs and their associated lamp fittings.

My friend did use cfl UVB in a closet, before making he's bad ass grow rm based on his specta meters an UVB testers.
He believes his method of mimicking nature is better.
Lots 400 um2 UVB for a few hrs around noon.
As nature produces in the afgani mtns.

I'd like to do a head to head comparison and see if he's right if I had the rm.

But there's no wrong way to grow or skin a cat.
Ill prolly go with a couple of 36in t5 uvbs for a few hrs a day
And swap in some 660nm red flower and some Acentic blue in veg.
