A short tutorial on how to save sent messages.
There are many ways, I am going to show you two of them. The first way will save pictures of your sent messages you can save to your pc and view offline, the second way will save them as text messages.
Saving "snapshots" of your screen.
1) Assuming you are on your pm screen and have typed the message you want to send, before pressing the send button complete the following steps.
2) You should have a Print Screen, PRNT SCRN, PRT SCN, or some abbreviation thereof. You may just be able to press that button but some older keyboards you will have to hold down the Ctrl button at the same time.
3) After you have pressed that button open up Paint which is on every version of Windows. You will then select the "Paste" button or if your version of Paint is older you may have to select the "Edit" tab and then select "Paste"
4) Once you have pasted a picture of the screen, you will then need to save it to your pc. Select the dropdown menu in the picture below or if you version is older you may have to select "File" and then "Save As" and save it on your pc.
5) You can select the type of file to save as but generally JPEG is the easiest.
Saving your messages and downloading them as text
The other option is to save your messages as text.
1) Once you are ready to send a message make sure the box shown below is ticked.
2) You will only be allowed to save a certain number of messages in your account so eventually you will need to download them to your pc and delete them from the forum.
3) While in your message folder,
a) Select the messages you want to download
b) Select Download as text
c) Select Proceed
At that point you should be prompted by your pc to save the messages. You will want to go back and delete those messages to clean up your folder as well.
