You know, you guys discussing tent environment.
I am a firm believer in strong air flow! A good air exchange along with circulating fans also!
I mainly manage the environment of my lung room and then fine tweak with my individual tent exhaust fans.
I've started applying some of my heat transfer and fluid flow knowledge for the tent airflow.
My Gorilla 4x4 is about as dialed is you can get it. I don't regret going down to a 6 inch exhaust fan, since I went with a A C Infinity. It's very powerful in extremely quiet, especially for the amount of air that it moves! It gains me light hanging height and a quieter tent.
When I did the changeover, I used the extra hose to set up new screened inlet ducts. On the Gorilla I used the lower two front inlets on each side. The AC Infinity ducting tubing is very nice , but it's reflective inside. When the light was on you could see it from outside the tent. If you can see it out you can see inside. maybe not enough to matter, but I wasn't taking a chance. I just sprayed some flat black primer on the inside of it and that killed the reflectiveness. I also have the velcro flap I can open up if needed . Although I really don't like using that, since I can kinda forget to close it we lights are out. You know the stoner thing.
Anyway, that brings the fresh air in at a lower side. My exhaust fan and filter are located on the opposite side all the way to top. My circulating fans are on a diagonal opposing each other to get a nice mix of the air.
With the way I've ran this particular run a little cooler, i've had to play with my fan settings a bit and with a different fan. I tend to have the lowest setting at 6. I have a temperature setting for the fan to go full max when that point is reached. I just wanna keep it steady and it's not really that loud at full blast.
Naturally, the biggest thing is keeping the lung room with the proper parameters.
I like how the use of your lung room Equipment goes through the cycle of a plant. I almost always need cooling, And since I'm in Lone Star Shadowland, cooling must always be on standby, even in the dead of winter!
Early on and sprouts, seedlings and early veg, the humidifier is constantly going and you're constantly filling.
Then from early veg to early flower, you'll have a sweet spot where you don't have to run a humidifier or a dehumidifier.
Then the girls get their rage on................ Where my girls currently are in cycle! They are drinking the water and Transpiring like crazy and that dehumidifier is nonstop!
@St. Tom
I think you'll like your new fan and be 69P controller.
The 4x4 tent controller and sensor seem to be working perfect And is accurate. The controller or sensor in the 2X4 is a bit screwy. When you go to review the logs of the parameters, it shows a wide and cyclical variation. Further down below it will show you the highs and the lows and the average. Average is pretty much spot on. Tech said to swap the sensors to see if it moves over to the other controller. I haven't done that since it'd be pain in the ass right now to get to the 1 in the 4x4.
I do have to say though, that setting up the programmer with the different parameters and Etc. is not very intuitive at all. I think it's a
bit easier to do on the phone app.
If your lights have a dimmer and a RJ45 connector, You can control the light with the proper adapter and set up a sunrise and sunset. I've got my small tent with the new Mars Light set up to go from 1 to all the way to 10 for sunrise and back down at sunset in a 30 min period of time.
