I always remember my pal Gary, I said "Did you just fart?"

He replied, "of course I did, do think I always smell like this?"

Honesty is the best policy.

I am a firm believer that those that practice sbd farting, are the real terrorists living in our midst.

I'm a terrorist then...

SBD Fan....:tiphat:..gotta say..and the worse they are the harder I giggle....Think dick dasterdly's Mutley...

Staff have heard this one...hubby is gallant enough to take the Blame most of the time...but there was one on a plane once after eating sugar-free chewing gum...sugar free gum is Bad..believe me..

and I let a SBD out..and it was so bad..hubby shot up his head past the seat back level and announced to all the other passengers....
."well..even I'm not taking the blame for that one." ...:crying:..I was giggling so hard I had tears running down me face.

Meanwhile back on the Ranch.....we had a half day..it was windy and had a bitter edge to it.

We eventually got the right size/grade for the band sander..joy..and it zipped through getting the rest of the old varnish stripped from the table top and seat planks.
I have the underside to start tomorrow where the varnish is thicket and the wood is all angled....but hey..what gets done gets done..and what you can't See you can't Worry about.

It is better than when I started it....:coffee2:..doesn't it make the job so much easier when you have the right tools.

hubby put the second light up in the kitchen/dining side...so we got a little done.

Dissapointment of the week..still no Lavender..still no farmer.....I hate it when you are promised something and it doesn't happen.

The lavender is going to be dead when it gets here..it was posted the 5th jan...:slaps: ..almost 20 days in a box.
Must be a Christmas back log coz friends are getting the same experience.
The lavender co know..so they are just waiting news to either replace or refund.

I'd prefer the replacement..I've wanted a lavender hedge for so long I'll be gutted if I don't get them.

I Hit the 10 hour natural daylight today...Yay..from now on every day gives me and extra minute of daylight..roll on Spring.

Best avoid France for a while.

This is the Mothers garden..1 sq per sq foot.

I'll Fill these plots first..coz once they have permanent planting the farmer will not be able to plough it..
filling this first will give me the best garden to Look at too coz it is directly in front of the patio..so I want my aromatic mothers there.

The Lavender is a big part of it..all the "lined/shaded area" on the right..Bummer...:slaps:

This is the garden on the grid

You can See the deep shadow caused at the back by the canes..?..I feel like trimming them off at fence level...I'm not sure if they are there for Security..or as a wind baffle...or if there will even be a shadow on the garden from them when the sun gets higher in the sky...so I have resisted the temptation..for the minute

It took the best part of 20 years to come to fruition.
But plant breeders have finally launched a collection of super-sized tomatoes that can feed an entire family.
The new tomato plants, called Gigantomo, can grow enormous fruits up to 10 inches wide and as heavy as 3lbs - about 12 times the size of an average salad tomato.

The super-sized tomatoes are so large one tomato alone can serve up to four people and grow up to 6ft tall

The revolutionary tomatoes have now gone on sale in Britain just in time for gardeners to buy them before spring arrives.
The tomatoes are so large that one tomato alone can serve up to four people, and just one slice fills an entire burger bun or sandwich.

Gigantomo tomatoes can only be bought from Lincolnshire seed seller Van Meuwen, which has launched them in their spring 2015 plant collection.

Simon Crawford (pictured) who helped develop the tomato plants said he was hopeful it would lead to a world record sized tomato

The company has even stumped up a £5,000 jackpot for anyone who can grow a Gigantomo tomato that breaks the world record of 7lbs 12oz.

Thanks for the Giantomo info Mossy :)

I have just ordered my Giantomo seed £7.94 for six seeds (gulp) :jaw:

I normally think 50 pence per tom seed for hybrids is plenty to pay, with p&p each giantomo seed is costing me £1.32 ..Daayuum

I'm gonna try and break the world record and if I manage to win the £5000 will go towards my future small holding project :) you never know until you give it a try right?

I can use the £5,000 as a deposit on this for you....:coffee2:...it was the second one we viewed..bit less land but good value for money.

If I remember rightly it had mains water and electric which is very unusual on rural properties.

You can't put up permanent homes on rustic land..but those prefab holiday homes are good.

you never know until you give it a try right?

Someone has to Win it..and Think of the seeds you will have from that to sell to your Friends next season....
