Couple of things... one, changed our mind to this LED;

It's going in a 1.5x3ft wide cab, so 7.5 sq feet covered by 180Ws of LED. The plan for this space is the solo cup extravaganza. I wll be running a mini SOG in here as well as keeping new plants in there for their first 3 weeks. At the most there will be 25 plants in there, 15 growing and 10 'coming along' for the 600W HPS grow closet (which I want to have 12-15 plants in at a time in 2gal pots).

The goal is to see how much I can pump out of these cups. I'm aiming for 14g-21g per plant. I may, depdending on the LEDs performance do 20 plants growing and 10 coming along.

Here's my question though.. I have one gallon grow bags under a 600W HPS (only have 11 in there). My plants keep becoming root bound no matter what and push their biggest roots above soil like freakin' trees. Any idea if this same root bound issue will happen in solo cups?

This is a confirmed female, as it popped its first flower or two today, but looks like I will be getting only green pheno this run, as the other one is a male that I will cull.
Not a problem, but I wonder why... Both parents were purple
Its all good tho !

I feel like you are setting yourself up for a big letdown..... please do not buy that led unit. Spend around 30-40 more and grab a blackstar 240w led. That will fill your cab better but I think some CFL for supplemental will help out quite a bit as well.

It is Good isn't it NC...
camoflage netting for hiding autos in the veggie garden..

a Snack for when you get the munchies...:D

AND...they are a lot more sensitive to PH changes..so they act as an early warning system.

Yup CE...I Love them when they have growth like that..you Know they are gonna be Good..

I'm a generation ahead of you...
But...
if you compare the AK's...centre front..
to the two more mature pots behind..you will see..
they are built like TANKS..

I Think the ones you got were either 50 or 75% colour
so..
it wouldn't be odd to get a white..

But..

the White in the AK tends to be off white..slightly coloured...
I haven't had a Green in them yet..
so I will be watching with baited breath.

Good morning all. There is definitely a good vibe here at the AFN and plenty of knowledge to be offered to anyone wanting it.

I have 6500k CFLs and some 2700k's somewhere.. have 200+w(26wx8) of each... my thing is I wanted to reduce costs on leccy a bit.

How much CFL supplement you think? Also, for canopy or on the sides?
