shampoo - takes about a week of use before one's hair gets used to it. I sprinkle some into my hand, add a bit of water, work it into my hair, rinse. Hair has never felt so clean. Got my girlfriend using it on her hair about once a week. Loves the way her hair feels afterwards (she has long hair too!). She prefers to mix it with her regular shampoo into a paste.

I would not recommend adding it that often. I have been a hairstylists for 29 years and use it to remove hairspray build up on clients. It is extremely drying to the hair and can do some major damage if used to often.
 
1) scrubbing stainless steel sinks - also works great on porcelain sinks, nonstick pots & pans, toilets.
2) room & carpet deodorizer - sprinkle on carpets, let it sit, vacuum it up. or place in saucers around room to absorb odors.

5) leave some in your refrigerator & freezer to reduce/remove bad smells.

4) smelly dog? Take a handful and work into the dog's coat.

Haven't done them...but I will proceed with caution as per K21....:thumbs:

Someone in this house is using MY white vinegar for that.
In the wash compartment..it makes the clother keep Brighter because it removes excess soap and stops Dog Hairs sticking to them..apparently.
And in the fabric conditioner compartment as a fabric softner.

Other Bicarb uses..

7) Sprinkle in the car over-night and hoover out to remove smokey..Doggy smells..
8) Sprinkle in Stinky trainers overnight and shake out in the morning..
as Trainer Tamers..

Afternoon all
Been away a while as i've had internet trouble - just spent most of the morning catching up. That's a lot of reading!!!
@JM - hope your dad is well. My old man had a triple bypass about 11 years ago, he's never looked back. One thing tho, he did seem to have a bit of a personality change afterwards. Have spoken to a few people who have said the same, one theory is because when you have a bypass your technicaly dead on the table and then resucitated. Who knows???
@Wiz - I love your black dragons:drool: would love to get my hands on some, maybe Lady S would let me grow if i had some that looked like that

@k21 - Your girls are looking real nice now - i've missed them these last few days

wiz... thanks for the advice on my dad... he will definetly be seeking fresh air ASAP...
biggest thing will be getting him to chill and let us handle things while he heals up.

as the baking soda goes... there are some new uses there i hadn't heard of... and of course, theres a million others.. lol

white vinegar is another.... lol... i use it too clean my shower stall as well.... cuts soap scum pretty fast.

The Boss is back and all is well in the house...:jump:
Took us 10minutes to get back in the house while the dog did her welcome home
dance..
she was going Crackers.
She was like a puppy this morning on her beach walk...dancing all over the dunes...easy to read her happiness.
(The dog..not the boss..:D.....)

Sooooooooo...got the dreaded grocery shopping this morning...
But hey....gotta be done....

Better get some Butter while we are down there..to Test me slow cooker.
Never thought I'd be excited to see a slow cooker..
must be me age..:lol:

Got a canna vodka in the freezer getting made..and I'll be canna buttered up soon...

how much better does life get...?......:dance2:

Very slow on here today. Glad all is back to normal @ chez wiz. It's nice to have time to yourself, but it's always good to have everyone home safe.

Sounds like a recipe for a fantastic life there Wiz
i need to read more on the butters and cooking bases
id like to start making all kinds of edibles for folks that cant smoke

gald to hear that the boss made it back safe and sound
