Did you buy direct from Mephisto? Sometimes it's just the roll of the dice. I personally don't think any germ method is better than another, it's horses for courses, and what works for one don't always work for another. But if a seed ain't poppin, it ain't gonna no matter what method is used.
My last big no germ was a 5 pack of Med Gom 1.0. The seeds looked old, small, black, and only 1 popped out of 5. I nearly killed the only germer, out of pure spite and anger
Yes I ordered straight from them.But your right on the part of popping if it's a viable seed it will sprout and like I said I've had great luck with them be for but this time looking bad.

My 4 assed monkeys germed within 24 hrs and popped the soil within another 24 hrs. One hasn’t popped the surface by I believe I see what I think will be the seed popping very soon.
I just had a Auto Cush that took 5 days to crack in wet paper towel on top of cable box, after soaking 24hr in water. Almost threw it out twice, patience.
