I meant to document this one from the start, but things got in the way and I'm now somewhere between day 45 and 50 and finally getting round to it!

Short run down, 1mx1mx2m tent, 250W of Timber Cobs shoved into an aircooled reflector (whcih is confusingly no longer aircooled), Some kind of carbon filter in the tent and second inline one attached to the end of the run (vents into living space so can't afford any smells), all powered with a Hyperfan Stealth.

The Green Man is basicialy an Aqua farm, but I'm now running with two tiny water pumps (one for the drip ring which I buried in the pebbles to avoid algae) and one flooming the resevoir. Seems to be working so far, benefits are: no noisy airpump, and minimal electriciy useage as the pumps pull a couple of watts at most. If all goes to plan then I'll be chucking my expensive (and noisy, and power-hungry) Hiblow XP40 on ebay. Nutes are Megacrop, Sweet Candy, RO water with Canna Calmag agent, and I've jsut started using Buddhas Tree PK booster as well. Running around 600ppm, doesn't seem to need any more than that, drinking about 5 liters a day now.

My last run in this setup was an AutoMazar which outgrew the tent, pushing colas up past the light, so this time, growing a Dinafem White Cheese, I've supercropped in an attempt to keep a reasonable size. I've also stripped off multiple branches. Pay no attention to the Cosmic Queen in some of the photos, I'm actively trying to grow smaller plants so I've lined the white basket with autopot gold cloth to keep her roots from hitting the resevoir so it's being run more like a single pot Wilma. Right, less talk, more pictures.

WC is nice plant, you'll love it.
How much do you get in 1x1m usually?

Bit hard to answer that because I don't weigh stuff, but the Mazar gave me nine le parfait jars (I think 1L ones) and that was me being fussy and after removing lots of branches during growth. Previously when I ran coco I'd do four plants at a time and not get anywhere near this kind of amount, with this system more than one plant at a time isn't really neccessary, but I've become addicted to growing:smoking:

There are a couple of things that can be done to control height.
First, keep the reservoir temp below 70 F.
Second, use an oscillating fan to cause the plants to sway slightly, which discourages branches from getting too long.

I don't have that problems, because I SCROG them.
Maybe you quoted wrong person.

But to add more on your list:
- more intense light will grow stocky plants
- cooler light (4000K, 5000K or 6500K) will grow stockier plants than 3000K, 3500K, 2700K
- less difference between day and night temperature will also shows as less stretch

Yeah, next go round I'm definintly going to be trying out a scrog. Intersting about the light temperature affecting height, mine are 3500K. It was run on 24/0 up until it started flowering when I swtiched to 20/4!

I gave up on SCROG because the plants were still growing into the lights, and filling the whole tent volume. Some auto plant branches were over 6 feet long after blasting thru the scrog.
But the yields were huge.
After abandoning scrogging, adding an oscillating fan, and controling reservoir temperature, the growth is much more manageable.
But the yield is less.

Woke this morning to a light scattering of frost. I swear it wasn't there when I checked yesterday.

Hopefully there's a lot more to come. The smell is really picking up now though it's not that cheesy yet, more a deep tropical fruit with something rotten underneath. Starting to get excited now. Hey @Dinafem-Mark, come and have a look at my white cheese :smoking:

Day 54. Really happy with Megacrop so far - I've mixed up a stock solution so I don't have to weigh it out each time. This is lazy man's growing. Done a couple of runs with Remo before, great nutrients but using 6+ bottles just isn't for me.

Day 60. Been battling temp and humidity these last few days (high RH needing a dehumidifier which works... but pumps out a lot of heat) and the room temp's been around 30c for much of that time. White Cheese seems not to care though, she keeps on frosting up.
