Indoor Sad plants!

Excellent! I have been chomping to do that to a few but have been scared too!

It's a fine balance between opening airways and stimulating the plant and stunting it, making it small and with small, airy buds. Work your way up, and always keep a watchful eye for plant reactions. That way you'll know what to do and how much. If you can shine side lights and see the light shining throughout the plant, you're in great shape! [emoji106]

So just to be sure.. trim the upper large fan leaves that block the lower bud sites?

Not the top most, maybe next node down. You got fresh pics where you are thinking about trimming? Do you tuck leaves too?

Maybe 3 per plant for now?

The leaves that are important to trim will be on the inside of your plant. On the outside they simply don't shade much. When talking a leave off only take one at that node. Stay down a node or two and remove a leaf that gives the most bang for the buck. Exposes the most bud sites.

Things to consider,

If part of your plant is growing to fast removing leaves from that part can slow it down. Or if your growing at a good pace, don't take more than a couple leaves from your main stem until you know how she reacts for the same reason.

Great advice J. You know what I may do is try to bowl all those outer branches out and see how that opens that lower portion out. I bought some large safety tins I can pin to the rim of the bag and tie the pipe cleaners to.
