Hello all!
This will be a log for a Russian Rocket Fuel. I plan on getting some pollen and some seed from this first run of four. These are regular (NON-Feminized) Autoflowering RRF. The best will be selected for breeding, and the best from that generation, and perhaps from this F1, will be used in a cross with a auto Pineapple Express to create a Pineapple Fuel (eventually!)
Here is an open packet I put some rice kernals in to help with long term storage now that the packett is opened. Four (4) seeds were germinated about an hour ago with warm water straight into soil. They are in small containers, think those for cacti, and will be transplanted later on, some to 3gal, some to 2 gal, but all to felt pots.
Here's how I did it this time. I "poked" a hole into the soil with my pen, place the seed with the pointy side (or hilum=>micropyle if i'm not mistaken) into the moist soil. I then give it a lil nudge if need be, otherwise, i just mist with warm water, place in the humidome under a t5 strip, and wait for birth.
You may also notice my labels, they will change as things go on, but for now it will go like this....
The name is on top (RRF=Russian Rocket Fuel)
Date dropped here (Day/month/year)
Date popped
Date sexed (with the symbol)
and the harvest date is recorded in my records for breeding selection, along with alot of other notes.
The seeds are taken next to the breeder pack as a "pedigree" of sorts, what other paperwork do we have? I mean even dog owners have paperwork wtf....
Anyway, that will help me keep track of things.
You may also know the calipers, I'm kinda messing around with those, But I will be using them for growth rates and the like. I figured if I just documented everything the best I could, someone looking at this way down the road can make thier conclusions on whatever info I recorded, wether I knew why it was important info or not. For example, what if way down the road, there's someone just like me, wondering if there is any corelation between seed size and things like, gender, viability, how soon it pops, overall size, etc etc, they can use that info, along with whatever else they have found to support or dismiss thier theory.
Anywho, I hope you enjoy, will be posting pictures when they pop!
BTW, here is a random freebie I got that was damaged during transit, so I figured I'd give it good chance and try and pop her soon....
