The coffee filters seem twice as thick.
The tea bags burst to easy ?

I've just been using what I have at hand @oldcoot
Anything that I may lose to the filter will be recovered when I use it to make oil/butter for medibles.

Ok thanks ronin. Havent done this yet but got my straightener and parchment paper.
I was wondering how much loss they're would be soaked in the filter.
I dont or havent made edibles , how else to do sugar trim, just a pinch on paper or will that just spread along with the rosin.
Or scince its just sugar, filter and go with the loss in the filter.
Or is it a waste of time with trim.
As such, make bubblehash, then press.
Or everclear the filters when done... ha ha

I like to take my sugar trim and roll it into a log as if I were rolling a joint.
But far more compressed.
I then cut that into 1/4" pucks and press that in the parchment paper.
No filter.
I have seen a lot of folks using the tea bags for sugar pressing, but they appear more commercial than personal.
I get very little if any contaminant with my pressings.
Yes, you could soak the filters in everclear

I wonder how the 5x5 would do.....Hmmmm $250

edit: I checked out the 5x5 and the cheaper $250 one only has one plate that heats. There is another for about $350 where both plates heat.

Anyone want to share what kind of hair straightener you use? I have a wider base one but it only has temp settings from 15 to 35. ?!? The first time it worked but not much return. I may have to crank the heat up a bit.
