Damn, that a nice amount of oil! I wonder how much weed they had to press to get a blob (or whatever the technical term is) that size?
A iron would work but you wouldn't get both sides
Sniper! Thanks again for all your tips on the Sea Grow nutes! That sandwich press looks like a great alternative to a $500+ t-shirt press!
Anyone considering giving up BHO, and going total Rosin tech? What would be a solid argument for sticking with BHO?
I think bho, would give better yields. imho, Have no proof, but just in my mind the theory of a liquid coming down and removing all heads, is more efficient, than squeezing out the heads with heat.
Yes you're right in every aspect but why is it still going on, because although rosin will have a smoother cleaner better tasting hit, potency is not like bho, yes it might be good for us folks, but the market is ful of high thc concentrates and rosin isn't viable. If they want a cleaner hit they'll just buy co2 extracted concentrate as it taste great and has the potency that rosin lacks. Rosin is great for us and our use , but as for large companies that have to produce to the market, it isn't a seller.here's my plan to try this:
I'll save the pressed buds and cook them in oil. I'd use them for "double cooked" oil, in which the oil from cooking the pressed buds, will be used to cook with a second time using fresh bud. Will make some nice, potent oil.
and lets add a couple of down sides to BHO. Pollution: 1. all the butane escaping into the atmosphere is damaging to the ozone layer. 2. Because of all the people blowing themselves up these days, butane is going to become regulated and and buying in quantity is going to be outlawed. This is already in progress at the federal level. 3. Even being careful, butane is VERY VERY flammable/explosive. Invisible static electric sparks in your clothing can set it off!
