Roots organic or Fox Farm ocean?

but the autos don't like to be transplanted so what do you do guerilla? i was thinking of mixing Ocean forest with light warrior and perlite, and put like 5 in of organic soil on top for the seedlings. i was thinking of using sea grow 4 26 26 for nutes what do you think? what kind of nutes do you use?

I'm addicted to FFOF as a base fert. I haven't found anything easier to work with for my small space, it can grow anything, well. Granted I've learned to mix it with a few other components to help things out through flowering.

Yeah man i feel you. I love the Ocean Forest hell i even start autos in it and it doesn't actually burn them to be honest i put jiffy seed starter in the middle make a hole in the OF and plant into that. Wait on my nutes for about start of week 3 and have good results with 1/4 and 1/2 doses.

Just FYI, with regard to auto's... Starting seedlings in a hot mix will provide inconsistent results, at best. While it is true that some strains seem to do okay from the beginning in a hot mix, some DO NOT. Hot mixes can, and frequently do, stunt (with no other obvious signs of distress) or burn young plants. They need a couple weeks, at least.

So there's no problem using Sunshine Advanced Growing Mix 4 for autos directly in a 2gal smart pot starting from germination and continuing throughout entire grow. Thanks in advance.

Im using sunshine #4 now. Its not soil its soilless mix. Its peat moss/sphagnum moss with some other stuff so there are no nutrients in it. Its technically passive hydro. I start mine in a peat puck in a dark cabinet above the fridge for heat. when they pop ground i wait 1-2 days with a humidity dome then transfer to their final 3gal containers with LED's high. Usually wait 2ish weeks before i feed them for the first time.

I was born in Oregon and lived in Eugene for awhile so Roots Organic is from my home state. It drains well and smells good, plants are green and healthy, I have grown a few rounds with Fox Farms and thought it was good stuff but I prefer roots as they have great organic nutrients. If this was a poll that would be my vote.

I am on my first grow and really don't understand much about ph at all . I have a journal going in the newbie section and am 21 days in to the grow I have some ph problems and would love some help fixing them . I don't want to clog up this thread with my problems but if yall have time to stop by and take a look I have a description on there as to what is going on and pictures all they way through the grow...
