It basically is supercropping but not quite as harsh. I first read about it a long time ago in the marijuana growers handbook or the Bible. It's actually called hurding. If you keep breaking the Hurd or inner lining of the stem it opens the highway from one lane to like five lanes. I do it on the side branches too. Bending the top over after a good message does help the secondaries catch up or even pass the main sometimes

Yeah if you grab a stem with both hands thumb and forefinger and twist in opposite directions, go easy... If you do that a couple times back and forth you'll feel a snap but it won't break if you do it right. Then give it a day to heal up and do it again. You can make huge knots if you keep doing it.

Most times I do just cuz after a while it takes more juice to heal than you can get back. But sometimes I keep on twisting the lowers just so they can get more
