I started my migration from traditional nutrition and soil methods to truly living organic (TLO) methods and tools on July 16th... After many sleepless nights, I believe I've got a bit of a routine and some good results...
Here are some observations and my new routine...
Spray Irrigation -
- Clean pumps and buckets weekly
- Filter liquids
- Inspect and clean sprinkler heads (having spares makes this fast)
- PRIME THE POT by giving it a good watering before making the switch
- As the roots grow the meter readings go up because the soil structure is changing and at the end you'll be at 50% moist because of the root mass moisture that's offset the soil moisture... weird...
- NEVER STOP LIFT TESTING YOUR POTS!
Boogie Brew -
- Clean and dry all equipment after each batch...
- Strain it before use or you'll clog everything
- Multiple small batches required (2-3x / week)...
- Supplement allowed but be careful as their effectiveness is increased 3x
General -
- Still adding organic liquids (Roots Buddha Bloom & HPK) during critical flower phases and (CaMg) during adulthood
- Lots of happy accidents in this process and very few tragedies (phew)
- No more Sledgehammer
This is my current working schedule -

I am only using the organic liquid 'spikes' once a week... I can see the difference after I do them so I'm not stopping. CaMg is only being used during the spikes and every other water only application (a lot less). Application is done via irrigation.
So it's spikes once a week... the alternating between water, boogie brew and water/CaMg...
I'm not using Sledgehammer anymore because my TLO methods will not produce salts or clog roots, quite the opposite. Using Boogie Brew is like Sledgehammer every day but much better.
Next week I will begin streaming Boogie Brew with water constantly at a 30% solution and cutting back further on CaMg...
as we continue the migration to Stonington soil and phase out my traditional mix.
Bottom line - It's working and a nice new routine... Still veg'ing by hand till 20 or so... Never going to stop using supplements to push the plant to it's fullest genetic potential.
