Back to the pots again though... It was the Chip Bag Competition results which caused me to try to find what I'd consider the 'perfect' production containers. Production being larger grows (>4 plants)... The 2.5 gallon 'fiber-plastic' containers that I get from Ruth's Tree Farm at about 1.25 each are emerging as the winners after having met this criteria;

Limiting seedling soil use at a 2 liters to 5 liters of supersoil per container
Maximum O2 availability
Minimum leaking during water/feeding
Speedy and clean container building
Equal to or exceeding performance of larger containers (side by side growing) in the areas of vigor, maintenance, uniformity and harvest weight of crops.

The long term savings by maximizing soil use is significant. It's also appearing that crop management, especially during the critical seedling to 20 day old stage is markedly improved.

I'll post some representative photos of my latest results. Needless to say the numbers are bearing this out and the results are compelling...

Good Sun to you RS
I see you are still killing it with some Great Growing.
When i am looking for inspiration and new things to try I see what you been up to. You never let me down.( MAD SCIENTIST )
:doc3::doc3::watering: You still using Bio Char??
What new stuff are doing with it?
I'd like to see those numbers also it sounds interesting.

Here are three of five White n Bubblys I've got going in 5 gallon containers.

I'm increasingly finding these large containers to be overkill in most cases... Let's see how these girls make use of the resource rich container...

There is absolutely no discernible difference in performance between these White Trains being grown in either 3 or 2.5 gallon containers...

In all cases, the flower clusters are much more prolific on the plants in 2.5 gallon containers versus those in 3 gallon...

Thus far as has been the case in the past, the 2.5 gals are outperforming the 3.0s...

If I had not seen this with my own two eyes time and time again, I would not believe this could be the case... But it is and I've got some thoughts as to why...

Just made a Greek Peach Yogurt-Vanilla bean Ensure Ganja drink. Two bowls of Ascent ABV (lightly vapped) and 1 g of carbox Sour Hound. Spun that bad boy up and drank it down. I already know the effects are going to be good. Lights are off on the armoire and I am gonna catch up on some AFN threads.

I am glad you are going to small fabric containers. Autoflowers, in my limited experience with bigger pots than 2 gallons is silly. Especially Mephisto Genetics. They will explode in flower. When they say 65 days to maturity, they are usually on target. The air pruning of the roots is a huge plus. Smart move there Head Ganjanista.

Ahhhhhhhhhh..I can feel breakfast starting to take shape..:chef:

Hey Pops! I'm using various forms of activated Bio Char throughout my perpetual growing processes...

It is a component to my compost tea, Boogie Brew so every time I give the girls tea, they get traces of super activated bio-char... and I put .5 cups each of Pacific Bio-char, Dense Mix and Mix #6 in every 2.5 sq ft of recycled soil...

Being that every container I make is a hybrid of both virgin seedling soil (PRO-MIX HP) and supersoil the re-charges seems to be perpetuating my successful soil with consistent results... I really should do a soil sample now to get a good benchmark... Obviously I'm adding 2 liters to every grow so I plan to start using my excess soil in my perennial and vegetable gardens as time moves on...

We also add similar proportions of rock dust which are equally important to healthy soil and fruit production... especially soft rock phosphate like California Basalt Deposits aka CBD... Epsoma also sells soft rock phosphate but it's more granular and I don't like it as much...

I've also stumbled on a KILLER Brix juice which consists of 1 gallon water, 1/2 cup unsulphered molasses and 1/2 cup Sea 90... Add this to water or nutrition at 1 teaspoon/gallon to give your soil a shot of ether to gas up that organic engine... I make huge batches and eventually, as it ferments, it becomes more powerful... I came to understand this because I inject this into my hose water and if I don't rinse the lines afterward it makes the most powerful smelling methane gas... Unsuspecting visitors to the garden during watertime will often look askance towards me upon detecting that signature odor... flmao!

Try it, you'll like it and your organic methods will too...
