I really like the taste and high that this strain delivers so I got some autos from Zambeza. I've decided to post this grow here as I do use truly living organic growing medium, nutrition and methods... So here we go...

Jack Herrer - Zambeza Seeds - DOB 9-12

Dry seed sown directly to moist soil 1/4" deep - germination 2.5 days (center is re-moistened via 1 second spray 2x day till groundbreaking)

Lighting - Mars II LED lights (set up in an array)

Container and medium

Juvenile Container - till sex
  • 1 quart pot
  • Roots Organics Green Lite/Coast of Maine Lobster Compost
Adult Container
  • Ruth's Tree Farm - 3 gal fabric pot
  • Coast of Maine Stonington soil
  • Steinermema feltiae (beneficial nematodes)
  • Azomite 2 tbs
  • Cali Basalt Deposits 2 tbs
  • Cascade Minerals 2 tbs
  • Sea 90 2 tbs
  • Edge Flower Charges (4)
    • Coast of Maine Lobster Compost 1 cup
    • Green Sand 2 tbs
    • Rock Phosphate 2 tbs
    • Bone Meal 2 tbs
Nutrition - 1:1 ratio 2x week
  • Boogie Brew compost tea (pre-natal to harvest)
  • Oxygenated ground water
Supplements (in between nutrition as necessary)
  • Epsom Salts (Magnesium Sulfate) 1 to 2 tsp depending on age
  • Sea 90 (trace minerals) 1 tsp
  • Molasses based Brix booster 1 tsp
  • Oxygenated ground water 1 gal

Quick Update: Jackie's room is now CO2 enriched @ 1500 ppm during the light period. She's developing nicely and I'll post a picture update this coming Saturday. The next week will be exciting as she'll be nearing 20 and should show sex and get transferred to her currently 'cooking', 'flower' pot... sans the flower charges... I want to see what I can do on just the soil, compost tea and CO2 enrichment... The less I have to do the better... If things go well and I like Jack... I run a lot of them!

The original Jack herer was the most potent smoke I have ever had. I would have to pull over while driving and take a nap when smoking that BOMB. I can hardly wait to grow her myself. Keep up the great work I will be following this with enthusiasim

Thanks so much for the kind words and feedback regarding the strain. I to had some just before I started growing autos. It is very distinctive in flavor and high... I believe we've both been bit by the bug... Wicked good shit! :)

How long are you going to veg her for bro? Any topping on the horizon? :pass:

Thank you for asking... I expect her to show sex over the next seven days or so. Then I will transplant her to a large container to live out her life as a specimen. This is usually what I do with the first grow of something new to me. I like to do SOG grows and usually will do lollypop'ing to eliminate shaded buds and defoliation to expose any shaded tops.

Sorry man I thought she was a photoperiod! All sounds great anyway, looking forward to seeing how she turns out.
