Mephisto Genetics Rhyce Saroni grows a Toof Decay aka Nanny McPhee

I did the second recommended application of the spinosad in the veg tent and the isolation tent that has the initial target plant in it last night. The second application is done to kill re-emerging thrips as successive generations hatch in the dirt... Round two will kill the last living generation...

When I checked the following day, there had been a second re-emergence but now all are dead. Not before these little graffiti artists left a couple of chevrons on two plants in the SOG... Interestingly enough they chose Deep Blue Cs as their second target strain... Leaving Sour Crack alone...

There has been no sign of re-emergence in the isolation tent...

Great job Rhyce, your botany background must really come into play, as it seems it has been an easy transition for you ... :peace:

Hey man! Yeah, I guess the science background helps... That and some real good directions... When I remember to apply IT and follow THEM... lol

I've been messing around with a plug timer and food dehydrator. Turning the dehydrator on and off at 105 deg F for various amounts of time over 5.5 hours. Hoping to find the right combo to dry/cure samples quickly. I think I'm getting it. Trichs intact and moisture pretty nicely wicked out... I'm putting it in a container for a little while to see if I'd hit the sweet spot or not...

Speed dry/cure 5.5 hrs (top) vs Air dry no cure 2 days (bottom)

I only mess with my weed like this to take samples... The end product is always dried and cured using the traditional method of air drying for a few days and then jar curing for a month or more... if it lasts that long... lol

I'll be wakin' and bakin' these samples tomorrow!

Yeah! Where's my pruning shears? lol

When doing my second to last nightly check on the Triangle Kush which are due for the ax Wednesday, I noticed that the White Trains have really started laying some track as in pretty sizable colas with lots of 'clover flower' buds in the branches. Both are about 3.5 feet. Lanky, narrow and tall. Especially Pantex the nuclear White Train with the funky leaves, skin and color... lol just look at her now... You could definitely grow a few of these at once, in a small space, sog style. Which is where I think I'm going with these when I grow them again...

Pantex - White Train - DOB 4-23
weird leaves and color since birth - spinning up a nice cola - lean and lanky

The two Triangle Kush are looking mighty fine and ready I guess... 65 days and chop is recommended and her behavior, trichs and strength are agreeing... So here are some parting shots prior to the chop... Starting to show purps...

Here's an update on the mixed strain, 9 plant SOG... I added 1 Toof Decay (Snaggle Twof) in the empty spot... lol All the subjects are doing well. I'm using a real-time moisture sensor to get my watering technique dialed in... what a friggin' challenge but I've almost got it. I count while I spray atomized solution on the soil...

They got their first taste of food yesterday evening which was also the first dose of new moisture they had in 3 days... It was sooo painful for me to deprive them... I gave them a 50% solution of week 2 nutrition according to my regular program.

I guess my goal is to keep them hungry and thirsty until they start to flower and them give them a goose so they can sit around, eat and get fat flowers... I'm also guessing that the flowering should start early...

They are going to stay in the veg tent for a while as I'm waiting for some space to free up in a flower tent... We'll see... I could grow them all right here if I had to... That would be a hoot... Oh no I have to stop thinking about this...

9 plants in a SOG...
Including Snaggle Twof... lol

The leaf damage is from a brief encounter we had with thrips in the veg tent... Spinosad fixed it... You can see that there are two Deep Blue Cs that are already wanting to be biggies... If you look close you can see that on a few Deep Blue Cs the second set of leaves had some duckfoot tendencies... Too bad the thrips had to go and mess them up... Everyone is starving along now... Thrips are gone after two prescribed treatments. I'll do a third for good measure.

This is going to be fun...

FYI... Here is a graph of me learning to water properly... I'm aiming for 50% max and 30% min moisture at any given time... Getting close...

Tangina the Supernatural OG is wanting to be a performer... I can tell by looking at her... She will be three weeks old tomorrow... Meaty beefy big and bouncy... Thrips never touched her...
