My grow tent extraction has the ducting running into a box point out of a bedroom window....so neighbors dont see. As my bedroom window is open I use this for passive intake. Trouble is I dont think all the extracted air is leaving my bedroom so running an intake actually increases my humidity.

My humidity sits at 55-60% and im gonna buy a dihumidifer but was wondering will this prevent possible bud rot? Ive heard people grow with no problems just good air flow but as I cant run an intake without it rising im not confident. If I buy a mini dehumidifer how much % can I expect it too lower?

Please help asap

depends on strain id go 50% max

It depens on which stage you are, in veg up to 70% is ok. In early bloom up to 60% and last 2 weeks 30% humidity.

Yeah I know the % is too high. Im asking will a mini dihumidfer be enough to lower the rh by about 10%?
I cant fit a larger one inside my tent.

depends mate if you airflow is that good it will depend on outdoor humidity you could try covering the top of the pots to stop evaporation

mines up near yours as well think its the airpots that are doing it

Can I cover the pots with clingfilm?

Im not running an intake fan as it causes the rh to rise. I have my bedroom window open and use passive intake so I dont to risk it down to air flow. I hope the mini dehumidifer will be enough and just wondered if anyone else has used one how much of a drop in humidity was there? Im scared ill ruin my crop

Yh a small dehumidifier should cut about 10-17% depending on conditions worth a try, My tens RH is and has been from start to finesh 55% and during lights of 75% rh im in the last week of it then the chop this friday :peace:

55 to 60% is about right,I wouldnt change anything.Just keep a constant fresh air flow around the plants.

If I run my intake fan the rh rises. Im guesing the extract ducting pointing at the window isnt all leaving so its not fresh air being taken in but fresh air is coming in abit as I have the window open. For the sake of 50pounds im gonna buy the dehumidifer tomorrow.

Many thanks for the replies. Ill let you know how I get on.

it still need to breath was think like weed membrane
