Reversing Autos & Pollinate Photos

Missing the question though.

I am talking about reversing. You cant just keep crossing reversed plants to get a true auto.

Photo X Reversed auto male.

R1 X R1 (reversed male)

R2 x R2 (reversed male)

etc. etc.

The question is how will the non-dominate traits be passed in a reversed plants offspring.


Would it be

50% 50%.
80% 20%?
33% 33% 33%?

For Photo to auto ratio.

There is no difference as to how traits are passed between a reversed female plant and a male plant. Auto to photo still follows the same path.

First generation no autos
Second roughly 25%
Third 50% 4th on auto.

Reversed or not makes no difference. Auto photo are the only concerns. If your interested in how recessive Gene's are past, there is plenty of info out there. DJ Shorts "Cultivating Exceptional Cannabis" is a good start.

There is a difference with how dna is passed with reverses. at-least in corn.

Sure, you can work for auto that way, and what you'll find is photos popping up in your genetics regularly... Auto to photo breeding select photo at F1 cross to photo F1. Work with autos from f2 on.

Of course you can, lol.. Again, nothing new... I think you may want to read up a bit more on the principles of breeding, recessive genes and expressions. Doing that may explain it better than I can, lol..

If you have a photo period female.. And you pollinate that plant with pollen from a reversed female auto, the off spring will be all photoperiod fems. If you grow out those seeds and pollinate one with the same reversed auto pollen (or any auto pollen) the resulting seeds will be 25% auto fems. 75% photo period fems. You can continue to work the line this way until you get full auto at about f4.. Or you can take short cuts and pollinate one of the f2 25% autos with auto pollen and be fully fem auto at f3. I've never taken the shortcut but I have made serval crosses fully auto crosses from photo period plants, as have many others. The auto gene is recessive... The punnett square doesn't change just because the plant was reversed. There isn't much you can do to a cannabis plant in a grow tent that hasn't already been done.

Nice try, lol. My first reply had no "lol" in it, because nothing was funny.. I answered his exact question.. His response was that I was missing the question, and that you cannot keep reversing a plant to get to full auto. The funny part to me, is that I was told that something I have done, and continue to do, isn't possible. He made a statement, I made a response, lol.. In the 2nd half of his reply he asked a question, which I then answered and explained in detail. Even threw in the shortcut option. With no lol. So basically, no one laughed at anyone's question.. I have personally never done that, and never would. Reading and comprehension is an important foundation to a successful troll attempt, lol. This attempt failed.
 
Not sure what botany book you got that definition from, but that’s not the definition of a F1.

“ An F1 Hybrid (also known as filial 1 hybrid) is the first filial generation of offspring of distinctly different parental types. F1 hybrids are used in genetics, and in selective breeding, where it may appear as F1 crossbreed. The term is sometimes written with a subscript, as F1 hybrid. Subsequent generations are called F2, F3, etc.”
