Grow Mediums Rebel's Road to Redemption -- Dueling Tents

OK caught up, got some new pics my friend?
If they are still the same size as in your last pics then you need to do some fixing....

SO what would Stunted do....

Flush using low nutes (200-400ish ppm) at P.H 5.8, use ONLY the Coco A & B, nothing else.
Keep pouring it in until it runs out the bottom, you want a good deal of runoff just to make sure. (Sometimes it can take a lot of pouring to get runoff)
Then they need to be keep up off the floor so they can drain...
Flush/flood once a day for a few days until you get some runoff

Well I'm gonna ride it out but I'm not feeling this. I guess me and coco don't mix. So I will be going back to soil less soon as I can.

The most important thing in autos is the start. This start sucks. Granted it may be because of a, b, or c... and I may need this or that. But the point was to not have to do things differently.

Another thing I wish I didn't drop expensive beans in a medium I never grew in before. I guess I was too optimistic .... oh well...

Nice redemption grow huh!? I must've jinxed myself!!

I agree the start with these sensitive woman is paramount. I am only just about a week in. For me it seems like the seedlings are the best I have produced (and that ain't saying a lot--:o).
Have fans going all over. And you know the conditions here = 110 going to 117 or more Saturday (need to get the you know what out of here).
The second and third week will tell the story.

The coco is odd. I bet your plants will come along. Keep on playing around with it. I know the seeds are getting incredibly expensive.
I was watching Mr. Nice Guys video adventure (not the movie) and he visited Sensi Seeds. What a lavish office with pricey artwork. Seed biz can indeed be profitable. I believe the video is late 90's.

Oh, can I nudge you again for some TS nug-porn, if you would be so kind? :smoke: I've not seen yet how she turned out... *** Please ask Lady Reb if Sister H. M. Discipline has an official product name, so I can try to track a unit down,... she's a blow-up 'doll', right?...

I just realized I do have a nugg pic on another hard drive. I'll post it when I can dig it up... Sister Discipline is the actual product name... She's really a "bop bag"... I have a thing of keeping tags to stuff...well, unique stuff like her...

If at 1st you don`t succeed...try try ...Oh fuck it...i`m moving back to soil...I love you soil! ;) Only pulling your leg Reb, you`ll turn it around mate... :smokebuds:

Thanks Mate, I know I was being a bit of a cryass eariler... *slaps face a few times* alright! Back at it!

I am undecided on the coco too Reb. My current girl "seems" small to me for her age too. I don't feel like I am watering correctly for coco. I was just thinking last night I wish I had thrown some perlite in with coco myself. Perhaps I am just being paranoid and she will shoot off like a rocket. /fingers crossed

I think that would be the best thing... especially with this heat and humidity! :cuss: After re thinking without negativity in my brain I think 2 things would have made a huge difference... Cutting with perlite and the initial soaking of the coco should have included a feeding. It's not like I wasn't pre warned by you all!! So strike one on me... I have a feeling we will be just fine it will just take some more time... Fingers crossed here too bro!

wishing ya the best bro ...

I waited 30 days on my first grow and I had like runts ...
When they rooted that coco is was on like donkey kong ...
Sniper once told me is what they doing under that isn't visible ...

On that orange stufff ...
Nice !!!....
Jm also has a compost thread ..
On there Oragne peel (Ash) was in the like 0-20-40 OR summn that high. ..
It was ridiculous I can't Remember exactly but I bout 20lbs cut the peels off and made alot of homemade OJ ..

Hope ya Get some Fiery lladies ma friend !!!

Well u can eat and make ur own nutrients right on the homestead. ..

Thanks Swamp! Appreciate all the help my friend! Truly!

Ummm no not really, once dialed in the growth in Coco is fast...very fast :)

Wow I have a bit of catching up to do lol :)
Stay stoned my friend!

Stunted Coco
:smokebuds:

Thanks Stunted! :smokebuds:

The first one I did was slow ...the berry Ryder ...
Then I did add alot of Perlite to my 1gal Cream Caramel grow ...
I couldn't feed her enough and wasn't sure wtf she wanted ...
It was way to mind boggling for me ...but she tasted friggen amazing ..and she was the only plant to not mold on me when it was hittn all my others ...
Was the purest thing I tasted I guess because she was so hungry ...
I dunno either but with perlite the Cream Caramel went way faster at the beginning ...but I couldn't keep her wet during flower ...
Almost every 6 hours she was bone dry drooping ....

I did foliar spray alot of rooting hormone to tho ..

Next time I use this Coco I will definitely be mixing in some perlite!!!

I fed yesterday at the same rate as 1st feeding. 4ml Grow A/B and 1 teaspoon of Myco. There has been a "growth spurt" since 2nd feeding so I hope I'm getting back on track here... Thanks so much man. Posting pics below...

I agree the start with these sensitive woman is paramount. I am only just about a week in. For me it seems like the seedlings are the best I have produced (and that ain't saying a lot--:o).

What could be more lucrative? some seeds go for nearly $20 A BEAN!! Really? Is it really necessary?? I dunno my friend... crazy! We'll be fine... I just need to calm down and have some patience...

So I've regrouped and did the ol' *in with the positive out with the negative* breathing and such... Sometimes I get stressed and bitch... sorry Buds!! Also, my Father has been on my mind a lot lately and it's been rough. I still have a hard time accepting his death even though I know he's gone. He doesn't feel gone and there's times when I want to see him so bad and I know I can't. It's f*cked up really. Wife's stressed with no meds either (well oil but she needs her joints as well) Mentally it's hard to keep it together.. and then you get dry, stressed and no way to release. First time since his death I'm without weed. Wow... what a realization that is... But, it a way it may be the best thing because maybe I need to face it sober for a few. Ah, death sucks... But, in the end... I'm not the only one who's ever lost some one so close to them and I need to snap out of it. To me there is no closure so I have to find the way to live with it and not let it define me. Some moments yeah, maybe... but not for the rest of my life. Find a way and move forward...I don't think it's right or proper to "pretend" it's no big deal and let it eat at me inside. Which is what I've been doing to myself and with people in my life. I think it's coming back to bite me... OK enough of THAT!! On to thread business!!

Update....

We have had some good growth in the last 4 days. After a photo shoot and side by side comparison from 4 days ago they are surely picking up a bit. Still a tad yellow but again I think that was because I negelected to feed initally when I sowed the seed. *Note to self!* Coco needs to be fed initially and everytime out. Since you need to feed everytime, that's what I've done so far since. And honestly I need to be a bit more realistic.. I mean, I know how to grow and all that but I do need to realize it's a new way of growing... even though it's "medium in a bag" as I've used previously but it's still different and it's hard to break old ways... OK I didn't regroup as much as get slapped around by Sister Disipline who boldly told me "Straighten up!! We can't do this without you!!" So the unibrower has spoken!

Rebel. You hit it on the nail. Adding perilite and pre-nutes. Great thinking. May lead to better control of watering.

I understand your situation. We share the same. Almost to the date. I will PM you soon to discuss. One has to be in it to understand.

No :smoke:I think you will figure it out---;).

Torrent of Karma in your way! And little ones are the same color as mine at that stage. I fed only pH water in the beginning and started carefully with feeding. They have now darkened up as the nutes (AB) are set to heavy feed :D

when I first read on Coco I Was Recommended to buffer it ...Add in some cal mag solution and Fish emulsion ...or summn other ...Let it soak in that for a week and should be the trick ..
I used gery strong Stump Tea on that fine block stuff u can get ...and some EWC ..
gave it molasses at day 3 to fluff it again ..and man its doing wonder in Mater translpanting. ..strong rooting Nd staying healthier!!!

Iv been wanting to try Coco, but I'm scurred It will be like my first time again and that was so much fun I'd like to avoid it.

We are ordering another 50L bag of Canna Coco right now and a bag of Black Gold Perlite... to mix in with it... I'm ready to get back "on the horse" and see if I can get a better start with doing those 3 things I didn't do this time. Mix in Perlite. Initial feeding when sowing. Don't overwater... which the latter should be prevented just from adding Perlite. Thanks Alan. I know what you mean brother. I'll keep a look out for that PM.

Thanks omnious!! Karma always is appreciated!! So did I my friend... only pH water initially... I've given them 2 feedings since being sown at the rate of 4ml per gallon of A/B and 1 teaspoon of Myco... Today they look even better than the pics I posted last night. Silly me should have fed initially like everyone told me!!! :face: Well, I'm learning from my mistakes now!! Thanks for the post and reassurance! Here's some green grow Karma back at ya! :wiz:

What does buffer mean? This stuff is supposed to be pre buffered...

LOL I think once I try again and mix it with perlite, give the seed some food to eat when it pops out... things will be way better...

I'm gonna post some pics in a few to compare to yesterday...

LOL I tried to do my first run in co co for the 32oz comp LOL one died the other was going so slow i didn't even put my name back up when they asked who was in the comp the 2nd time lo but i started putting nutes in and boom it now starting to move up fast.I also got frustrated a bit and neglected it after its slow start but after reading your post i wont give up just like u! lol I wont let some dam CO CO fiber beat me!:slap:CATCHY PERSEVERANCE REP!:jump:

Guten nochte, Rev'! Ahhh, the ever humbling dick-in-the-dirt-moment,... like I felt when it became apparent that I stunted nearly all my plants- :poof: goes the Mojo, :face:3:hump: goes the Ju-Ju....LOL!! ...IMO mate, we're 'farmers', and we've earned the right to grouse and kick the dirt some when a flaming sac is dropped on our doorstep! Especially when one is under some pressure, has high standards and has been able to meet them, including how well one steers outta the slide -(we've been here before, with the,... th,..thuh-thruh pssips ... LMAO!!) .. reading ahead in your posts tells me you've got all four wheels on the road already and are braced for the next curve.... So, grumble, snipe, mope, bite some furniture, drop the Peoples Elbow on Sissie Dissie, and feel better,... Mission accomplished!! :ama: :roflcry:..as for the bean$, I would counter that thought with: no time/space for a) cheap, iffy Q wanker weed strains, b) running multiple test runs or control groups, what have you, to say nothing of the resource$... The effort to make the very most of what you have to work with mandates running at full speed ahead with scissors in you hand,...expect a flesh wound once in a while! :cough: :cuss: besides, homies here got your back! :pimp:
I just realized I do have a nugg pic on another hard drive. I'll post it when I can dig it up... Sister Discipline is the actual product name... She's really a "bop bag"... I have a thing of keeping tags to stuff...well, unique stuff like her...

....Mmmm,... grief is a kind of gravity, I feel... the force of it's pull is always there, but it's when we are weariest that it deflects us off our forward path the most! Grind we must... :toke:
Update....
...emphasis on the 'up'!! It seems you've reeled your hose in, shaken off the dirt, and are now business ready! :head: ..of course, having the Sister knock some sparks off your ass didn't hurt....much! :smoke: the plantling's do look better, mate, but I still say Iron them! (foliar) did you get some-dat GreenAll multi metal+ N shizzle? You will licky long-time! LOL!! waitin' on the new pics.... :buds:
