Can anyone have a look at these buds and the whole plant.. and kind of give me a time estimation on when to start harvest? some trichomes look cloudy to me.. but it might be just the way my camera is picking it up.. its a macro lens however.. so id imagine it being pretty accurate..

any suggestions will be much helpful! :D

Not seeing any amber trichs quite yet, but you won't need to wait long. I know photos fairly well, new to autos. But trichomes are trichomes. Within a week I'd chop that mofo down (if it was a photo, autos are faster so maybe 3-4 more days?)

thanks for the reply!

this was a kind of a messed up seed. i bought it as "auto speed bud" but it didnt auto flower for 2 and a half months.. but it started when i swapped to 12/12 lights. Someone here told me bad genetics can happen even though i bought auto seed sometimes breeders get it wrong too. So technically... this might be a photo? since it never actually automatically flowered... this is its 4th month!

ya, its a photo then. The longer u wait for more amber colored trichs the more sedative (couchlocked) the weed will become. If you prefer a more cerebral buzz, an "uppity high" chop it when 20% or so is amber.

Update on trichomes... still cant see any cloudiness in these trichomes? or am i just being blind??

the images are quite large so you should be able to zoom in to see better detail.

Not easy to tell from the pics but the way the light reflects indicates to me that there's to many clear trichomes still, I only just completed my own very first harvest yesterday so I feel your pain :)
Mine went about two weeks over the 13 weeks expected as well

Some parts of the plant are ready others are not.. At this point its preference. I see amber on some photos and none on others... Ide wait till the large fan leaves coming from the tops start to fade.. You will probably gain a little more weight as well if you have patience.

Use this op as a learning exercise....harvest a nug that appears more done, wait a week and harvest another....etc...Use your normal dry method on each....with a log of course...you will determine your preference in harvest time...and how to play with it. I keep a jar of wake up, a jar of keep going, and one to knock my ass out. Old stoners have their habits.

I was in a similar situation and i would say i chopped it a little early, but i needed smoke and i was excited to get on with the next one.
If i still had something to smoke I would have waited, but I am struggling the now with this Corona bullshit and at a £10 a gram from my cash rich dealer I simply needed to harvest it. I will never pay for weed again, if I can help it.
Good luck bro and to me it looks like it could do with more, (on a scale of 1-10 I am about a 2 on the knowledge level BTW) Just your pics look like mine and I cut a little too early as when I got the bud out and into proper sunlight and looked at it the trichomes were easier to see as still needing more, but I am getting high off it and it's a reasonable smoke, had better, but that was my first successful one and now I have enough to see me through to the next harvest I could wait another 1-2 maybe more weeks next time.
I think take a bud off and look at it under normal sunlight instead of under the grow light or camera flash. I got a much truer colour indication under sunlight.
