Indoor R Wayne's Can't Stop Wont Stop Grow

Weekly Update: Day 13 for the Blackberry and day 5 for the two in the Earth Box. The seeds I direct sowed into the EB took 3.5 days to pop. They seem happy so far. All I have been doing is spraying the top of the EB with a spray bottle once or twice a day when the top soil dries out. I also dont spray close to the plant. I want these little sprouts roots to search for that water...for now. I will probably put the cover on in the next few day. I wanted to wait about a week before.

The black berry has taken the second transplant pretty well. I was seeing some light green on the end of the leaves so I watered in some fish fertilizer to give it some quick nitrogen. It seemed quite happy after and perked up nicely.

I had extra room in the tent and was growing 2 indicas and only 1 sativa and I like having balance in my grow. So another Sativa dominate strain was added. I decided on Jean-Os Voodoo. I would to thank @Jean-O, I ordered some beans and got way more than what I ordered. I had some extra Fox Farm Ocean Forest, So I filled a random 5 gal fabric pot, watered it with some quijalla and recharge then direct sowed the bean. Today is day 3 and I can see the soil puffing where it was planted. Im guessing it will be up tomorrow, maybe even tonight

I also order a small space heater with a thermostat because it is getting cold here and even with the light at 60% the tent stays in the high 60s and low 70s. I prefer my tent to be in the 75-80° range. Now for the pics, not much going on yet.

Weekly Update: Day 20 for the Blackberry, day 12 for the EB, and day 5 for the Voodoo. All the plants are looking good. I got a heater off amazon and I feel that the thermostat in it doesnt work very well. I will have to tinker with it. The voodoo is looking a little lankier than I like, but overall looks happy in FFOF. The light is on 55% about 17" from the tops of the EB.

I have been only lightly spraying the top of the earthbox so far, but finally gave it a good watering w/ silica, quijalla, and recharge. I added a nice layer of BAS worm castings and gave it almost a half gallon with my sprayer and used the rest to give the blackberry a good watering as well. Then I finally put the "shower cap" on the EB. I will look to fill the rez for the first time in a week or so. Ill keep an eye on the weight.

Now to the pictures:

Weekly Update: Day 29 for the Blackberry and day 21 for the Earth Box and day 14 for the Voodoo. Though most of pics were taken 2 days ago when I was planning on updating. Finally have some time and the pics of the group and Blackberry LST was from yesterday.

Couple things going on this week. First I put 1.5 gallons of plain water in the rez in the earth box last Thursday (Day 19). I forgot to pH the water though, I was too excited i just forgot. I will make sure to pH the water in the future. This was my first time putting any water down the tube. I seemed to have waited long enough because the plants still seem happy. They are really growing now and Im curious how big they will get.
The second thing that happened was my power went out for almost 8 hours last Wednesday. I kept the light on that night since they had a nice long dark period, but they are back on their 20/4 light schedule now. Hoping this wont have any ill effects on the girls but we shall see. Both EB plants have popped pistils and Voodoo is working on its second node.

I also watered the Blackberry again with about 1/4 of a gallon. Wanted to mix in some Root Wise Enzyme Elixer into my water along with the quijalla and some citric acid. She seems to be responding well. Growing very vigorously and praying to the light most days. I pulled her down with a clip and tie. Ill have to keep at her because she popped back up 2 hours later. I am a bit concerned that I wont have the time to train these plants properly, but I'll give my best anyway.

Im also noticing a slight N toxicity in these plants as well, so Im starting to think that my water might have excess nitrogen in it. For the indoor plants I have been adding half drinking water to my tap water. The tap comes out at 270 PPM and the drinking water is at 8-10 PPM. I might have to add even more drinking water. Ill do some experimenting. But enough rambling, to the pictures:

Day 34/26/19
Weekly Update: Day 34 for the Blackberry, day 26 for the ZaMango and Strawbba the Hutt, and day 19 for the Voodoo.

Earthbox
Man I love this Earth Box, I think I might buy another one for my next run. Once I get these plants established its a breeze. I filled the rez @ day 19 with 1.5 gal last Friday. It was dry by Wednesday morning (5 days). I gave it 2 gal Wednesday night; tried to give it about 10 hour dry period. My water is a mix of 1 part tap @ 280PPM and 2 parts drinking water @ 10PPM with some added citric acid to lower the pH a bit. But since Ive started growing in living soil I dont measure my pH. I know about how much citric acid I need per gallon, so thats what I add. I also gave them their first true top dress with BAS craft blend and Build a Flower top dress. I sprinkle a light layer of craft blend and add about an inch layer of build a flower on top of that. Then I wet the top with my sprayer, I added silica, quillaja, rootwise enzyme elixer, and some citric acid.
But dang these plants have taken off, they feel like they have tripled in size over the last week. I have been doing a lot of leaf tucking and squeezing the upper nodes (not sure what it is called) to let light hit the bottoms, I do that for a couple hours. The ZaMango is shooting up those lowers already, I love what Im seeing.

Blackberry
I also gave this girl a top dress as well, the same as the earth box w/ 1/2 cup craft blend. Watered in 1L with same mixture as what I used to water the top of the EB. I also stopped training her, I dont think shes going to stretch much more. I got bud rot in the Phantomberry I grew because she didnt stretch much after training and colas grew into colas. Probably should have lowered the RH into the 30s too, but either way I would like to avoid it from happening again.

Voodoo
Not much to report on this plant. She is growing and seems to be happy with the old FFOF. Should start shooting up soon, just waiting.

Environment
I love having an AC infinity fan. Helps keep my temps averaging about 74°F and my humidity about 62%. When it is in auto mode it helps save water with my humidifier too. When I had my old fan that was running constantly, my humidifier would run constantly. I have been using at least half the amount of water and less electricity. I swear the fan system has paid for itself in 2 runs. The light is about 20 inches from the EB, like 15 inches from the blackberry @ 65% power. I had it higher but keep seeing light stress so I keep going back down.

Weekly Update: Day 41 for the Blackberry, day 33 for the Earthbox, and day 26 for the Voodoo.

Earthbox:
Man these plants have blown up in the last week. I love opening my tent every morning to see the ZaMango bigger each time. She's still growing. Now I havent done really any training besides leaf tucking on both plants. Ive also taken off some bottom leaves and nodes off to help the plant put energy else where. The rez was dry by Tuesday afternoon, I refilled it with 2 gallons Wednesday morning. I also like to peep under the "shower cap" and there is all sorts of mycelium growth going on in the earthbox

Blackberry:
Staying stout and short. I blame her lack of stretch and growth on her being transplanted twice and my lower temps during the first month of life. I think I can see some purple coming through, but I might be tricking myself cause I want a purple pheno :haha: Shes drinking about 2L of water every other day. I have given her one dose of BuildaBloom and will continue add that weekly.

Voodoo:
She is also a slow grower but is happy. I also noticed some small gnats on my sticky traps. Probably from using some old FFOF from the shed. But it seems like the soil is keeping them at bay.

I am also trying to figure out the light. MH states that I can run the FC-e3000 at 75% 12 inches from the canopy. But most of the plants dont seem to like that. The Zamango has been dealing with light stress for a couple weeks now. I have the light set at 75% but its closer to 17 inches from ZaMango.

I swear there is a second plant in the EB

Day 33 tie down
So the two in the Earthbox are starting to crowd eachother...and by that I mean the ZaMango is a beast and taking up a lot of space. I started to pull some of the ZaMango shoots to the side, but soon realized just the like description of the cultivars scent, there was no discernible beginning or ending to her branches (Im excited for this one). I found it easier to move Strawbba the Hutts shoots instead. I just pulled the 4 sides down to allow more light penetration and tucked more leaves accordingly.

May I present my lazy version of LST:

54/46/39
Weekly Update: Day 54 for the Blackberry, 46 for the Earthbox, and 39 for the Voodoo. This was more of a biweekly update. We went to visit my parents up in Seattle for a week and my 2 year old was sick the whole time. So for the last week Ive had my mother in law taking care of my plants. But we are finally home and my daughter is feeling better and I am finally able to post an update...dang what an update.

Earthbox:
Holy crap, the ZaMango exploded. When I left last Tuesday the plant was a good 12 inches under the light. When I got back she was a good 4 inches above the light. She grew more then 2 inches a day, damn near taken over the tent. Quality problems. They were also underwatered (all my mother in law had to do was pour water down the tube, she probably skipped a few days). So I filled the rez when I got home yesterday and did a nice clean up today. I also noticed some brown spotting on a few upper leaves, probably calcium deficiency. After trimming some leaves and trying to make some space between the two plants (cut off a couple lower nodes too), I gave them their second top dress of craft blend and buildaflower. I watered that in with 1L of water with quillaja, buildabloom, Rootwise Enzyme Elixir, and some ph down. The Strawbba the Hutt is looking very nice and a little farther along, shes also like 1/3 the height. I also super cropped the top cola of the ZaMango, will probably have to do more soon.

I will post another update about the other two plants hopefully later tonight or tomorrow. Lets get to the pics:

Blackberry:
The ends are getting crispy, I thought it was light stress at first but now Im unsure. Ive been adding buildabloom every other watering. Either way she has stayed short and is stacking now. My wife said it kinda looks like a pineapple. The buds are forming a bit different. But I am at a loss and dont have the time to figure it out.

Voodoo:
She has grown nicely since I have been gone and I like her structure. I had to remove some side leaves off ZaMango to give this girl more light. I gave her some buildabloom, quillaja, enzyme elixir and ph down with about 1.5L.
