Old Reviews Quiet in-line fan - European edition

That shiping really sucks :-( I wanted to get the t4 but 120$ for a fan and 102$ for the delivery is unacceptable.
Im using the smallest 2speed prima klima for the extraction. Sucks that its only two speed, four would be better. Lower setting is around 43db which is perfect over the day, but at night Id prefer something closer to 30db. :-(
I need infinity to finaly have some sort of eu warehouse like mars hydro to get the shiping to more buyer friendly numbers ..
Yeah I know. I feel they would have great success in EU if they do that.

my local grow shop recommended a fan that claims to be 26-31 db. Are the vendor specs to be trusted usually?

It’s the GENT ECCO TT 100

Yeah I know this one. In my country its more expensive then if I would order the infinity from overseas so that was a no go. I got that pk for like 80$ over here ... anyway if the price is better should be ok. It has ec motor and they are quiet in general on lower settings...

Hi, I shortly purchased a model from Black Orchid too and I can tell you It is so cheap (in a good way) and so silent.
Paid for mine approximately 50€. Was a set with a Can 300 Filter for 70€ ( that one works and their products are proven but that Can 300 fells cheap in a not so good way compared to Prima Klima Eco Coco which I use elsewie).
But back to the fan. It's a Black Orchid mixed flo 125 with a 220/280 qm/h switch and although it is cheap it is so silent i would say you could sleep next to it. Bought mine in ebay.

That’s good to know, thanks!

S&P fans are very easy to find where I live

I got the AC Infinity Cloud line S6 on Amazon.uk but had to use Parcel Motel to get it to here so I feel your pain...
I got it for 111 Euro though which is decent enough and then 3.95 for the Parcel Motel Service so 115 Euro to my door.

Have you heard of Hyper Fan V2? Want to get but kind of pricey (shipping to USA) There is a site from Australia that is selling the Hyper Fan V2 and a controller (sold separately). With the controller you can set the day and night temp because it has a photosensor that will regulate day and night temps. It also has a minimum setting you can setup to run fan after it reaches desired set point to keep the fan and filter continually air scrubbing instead of just shutting off. It helps keeps negative pressure too. Basically it like a set it and forget it type setup. The new AC Infinity controller has same feature but without day and night settings setup feature. This set up would solve a lot of my day and night temp issues. It's fan alone runs at 44 watts and controller 2 watts.

Best bet to keep your fan queit is to oversize the fans cfm and use a speed control to dial down to your preferred cfm...this helps significantly.

Yep, that is how I do it. I have a 5" Ruck, with a 4 speed controller that never needs to go above 2. It is not loud, but definitely noticeable. My intention is to box the fan up as well (sometime). The old expanding foam trick.

Loving those Black Orchid ones though. Will definitely keep those in mind when it comes to replacing.
