Hey afn,

I'm going to be setting up my 1.2x1.2 tent in a shed which is detached from the house but close to the house, if that makes sense. Problem is I'm surrounded by houses so I need the minimum to no sound coming out of the shed if possible or just enough thats its not obvious I'm growing. I'm in the UK. Amanda recommendations? Cheers guys.

Hello do you mean the fan as the filter dont make any noise as i live in uk as well i know what you are on about

If you can vent into the shed, then it will reduce a lot of the noise. You should be able to if you are using a tent. Get a fan bigger than what you need, and a 5 speed step-down, then ruduce the speed. This will also reduce noise. I have a similar issue to you (garage uk), though a lot smaller in scale.

Another discussion here, about fans. I found it very helpful.

Yeh the shed is quite big so I'm planning on having the fan and filter in the tent with ducting leading out in the shed so hopefully will keep the temps slightly up

Dam man that looks a beast lol do you grow indoors though or a shed? Reckon it'd make much sound if I was to be standing outside the shed? Just don't want neighbours hears a sound coming out the shed 24/7 lol

Hello this fan is in my bedroom it just makes a hum but you can just hear it but the clip on fans for wind movement make more noise then it. I got a big fan so i can run it slow so very quit but does the job perfect as you can see by the DB meter in last post.

I'd suggest that smell is gonna be your biggest challenge to keep stealthy.
I too sometime grow any spill-over plants in a detached shed...I have neighbors but nature's sounds cover most if not all of any noise from lights/fans etc but the smell is a big tell.....A fruitful plant will announce itself.
