New Grower Quick CFL question.

Im using a 250 MH/HPS set-up for my current grow. In order to speed things up I'd like to begin cfl vegging my next crop (in a seperate space) a few weeks before my current crop is ready for harvest. That way, my next crop will be a few weeks into its grow by the time I put them under the MH/HPS.

My question is : Will a single large 150w cfl bulb with reflecter by enough to veg 2 plants for about 3-4 weeks? I know a 200w or a 250w would be better, but as I'm trying to keep costs down I just wanted to know if I could get away with the 150w.

I should also mention, the reason why I'd prefer the single cfl bulb and reflector kit is that it would fit perfect in the second grow space.

Any help would be great.

You can veg them under CFL's but temper your expectations as to how big they will get compared to vegging under HPS/MH

Generally speaking if you are going to use CFL's it is mostly only used for the first 5-7 days at the most, after that they really require more Lumens to creat max photosynthisis

So cfl's will only last for one week? even for 2 plants? A 150w 200w 250w, will only last a week?

So the only way I can Veg 2 plants for a couple weeks is with HPS bulbs?

Dam it, its gonna jack my electricity bill for another 250.

I read so many people on here that say they veg with cfl's. Im a lil dissapointed now(poor me).
