Indoor Quick and simple 2x Devil Cream Auto grow

This is the new "Exhale 365" version that is the "self activated" version. There is a starter plug of the stuff that grows, and the medium is separate, so the customer gets to remove the hanging clip to put the puck into the medium and start the process. Takes the guess work out of "how long has it been running sitting on the shelf in the store" some. As for putting it on the floor, they also updated their recommendation to put near the intake and let it get drawn up through when you are running ventilation (which I am). Mine is about done, though...need to start thinking if I want to get another or not. :smoking:

Yeah I've seen those before I had to email the company to make sure it was about to expire before I brought it back.

Looks like they are starting to get their stretch on now. Got much lankier looking overnight (my night...their mid-day, actually).

The on the left had already been looking a little lanky, and I finally realized why a few days ago. It's got a little weirdness going on in that the nodes are coming in alternating along the stems instead of symmetrically. May be a bit thin even beyond that. But seems mostly healthy so not going to change up much at this point. Moved some fans around a little as it looked like it was maybe getting beat up by wind a little. Have never liked the fan arrangement in the closet for moving air around. Vent for circulating out the top works fine but I need to get a better or different tower fan or something to move stuff around more evenly from one side to the other. Dunno if that's anything to do with anything on this plant, just one of the things I'm thinking about with it. :smoking:

Quicky update. One on the right still doing real nice. Starting to take on the customary Devil Cream dark purple on the buds and the leafs around the buds. Meanwhile, the little skinny one is still just chugging along. Think the early on over and then under watering may have stunted it a bit more than previously thought. Kind of light colored overall with some yellow tips in places, so could also be something going on with the nutrient supply. Same soil and teas as the other, so inclined to think otherwise. Not really putting much into troubleshooting, though, as I'm kind of just cruise control on this grow....so just letting it go for now and seeing what it does. Going to switch over to the bloom formula and off the growth on the weekly teas with the one I'm going to brew for tomorrow, so maybe a change there will help her out. *shrug*

Good change. I had the same concern when I bought one.

Day 45 update.

The skinnier, possibly stunted one on the left really responded well to the switch to the bloom formula on the compost teas last week. Color looks to be getting better than it's been in a while. Starting a new batch today to bubble overnight, so hoping the trend will continue. Starting to put on a little purple as well on the flowers.

Meanwhile, on the right, the purple is coming on strong and the frost is starting to accumulate.

They are looking good!

...Have never liked the fan arrangement in the closet for moving air around. Vent for circulating out the top works fine but I need to get a better or different tower fan or something to move stuff around more evenly from one side to the other.

Uneven airflow has bothered me too. I have an idea for my small tent that might interest you- my next injection of cash will have me at Home Depot.

For my tent, I will attach the intake duct to a length of PVC pipe that runs to the center of the floor. Attached will be an air disperser facing up, which should spread the fresh air about. The whole thing is driven by the exhaust fan. One or two 5" computer case fans can provide additional circulation if needed.

Hope that helps- If you see problems with this kind of setup, let me know, I am still working this out in my head.

Makes kind of sense. Haven't seen an air disperser before so will have to check them out.

I had a nutty idea once of hitting the junk yards and seeing if I could find something like the windshield defroster vent for an old car. Something that could be tacked up along the back wall of the closet and then pump air in and it would spread it through the vent, hopefully evenly, all the way across. Redneck engineering is always fun.

Toke.type. Diffuser was the first word I wrote, then I thought "no, no that's not right" and "fixed" it. Should have left it as it was. My bad.

This is what I have in mind. The ones I saw at the HW store are fitted to go right over a 4" duct, so making it fit PVC fittings should be easy.

Yup, I think growers are the true McGyver's!

Looks like you had the same general idea- either we're both nutty, or...

Day 54 and the leaves on the healthy gal are starting to yellow off. So thinking another couple weeks and they should be close. The one on the left is actually not too bad all things considered. The alternating nodes make it look like it's all popcorn buds, but some are decent(ish) sized and there are quite a lot of 'em so think the final tally might be decent for a semi-stunted or otherwise not 100% plant.

Going to start the "finishing tea" formula on the compost tea mixes with this weeks batch. Smell off 'em is getting VERY strong. :woohoo:
