Hey Guys,

Loving this community here, absolutely awesome!:booya:

I will be starting my first indoor grow with AF in the next couple of days. There are just some questions that I would like to ask. But first some info on my setup.

At the moment I have a Homebox S (80cm*80cm*160cm) with a 250W light setup.
Depending on the strain offcourse, I was just wondering how many plants I can fit in there. I was thinking 4 rows of 5 = 20 pots

Stains i'm thinking of:
- Afghan Kush Ryder
- Little Cheese
- Pandora
- Blue Himalayan

Any other Strains worth it?
Any other people out there with the same setup and some experience??

Thx in advance guys.

Cheers

That sounds like way too many plants for your space. I think one plant of each strain ( 4 total ) would be plenty for your space. What size pots are you planning on using? You know these autos do much better in a larger pot. I have a 4'x4' tent with 6 plants and it's full. These things can get pretty big.

Welcome to the site L_S
I can't help you with the other questions.
But you should check out the Autoflower Seed Store. (Cheap prices for quality seeds) purple jems/duurty dragon heard nothing but great things about those strains

It all depends what size pot you are using, thats not even nine square feet and it is recommended about one sguare foot per plant and that might be tight.

hello--i grow in a 2x4x6 with 2 150 hps i start out with 20 reg and by week 5 i move to bigger pots ,10 plants must be removed .if not would be way to tight in there.i have been growing small stuff<cronicryder--diesel ryder--jems etc> but 10 is the max for me with 2 1/2 gallon buckets.good luck with it.i have learned that some produce a single cola so smaller pots could accomidate 20 of those in that area<single colas with out side branches>i also learned that with the tiny ones you only get a few js.alot of work for a 6 or 7 gram plant. however you can put 2 or 3 in a bigger pot together .

Ok wow, that sounds great. Im not sure yet about the pot size. I know they prefer bigger pots.
I have to check my pot size at home, but I think its around 7 liters. I know 20 pots fit in there, but I thought I could control it better.
So bigger pots fever plants, max 5 plants.
OR I need a strain that just produces one main Cola.
Ok guys, will check and get back to you.

Welcome to the AFN, Lord S. Glad to have you.

Those are all good strains. I suggest running as few different strains as you can decide on for your first grow. Every strain acts different and might take different feeding schedules and needs. I know how hard it is to decide though. haha. Trust me though. You'd have a much easier and better learning experience IMO if you just did five of the same strain, or 3 and 2 or something.

And if you have fems seeds, just plant the five. If you have regular seeds you can start 9 or 10 in smaller cups or pots until they sex and then pull your males out to grow somewhere to keep for pollen or just terminate them. There's about a 50/50 chance of male to female so you should end up with your five females plants in the end. If you just planted five regular beans you may only end up with two females, which are what you want of course. Hope this helps. Good luck man.

where to start first of all id say a a 250w is a little small in that room
i would say normally id go for 4-5 plants and no more that 9 very very most and they would have to be small plants as well lr2 etc.. each plant could easily take 1ft and some even more. Strains id go for 4x chronic ryder or auto AK good luck

I started two kush ryders in 20 litre pots. The tent is 75x75x120 so a similar size to yours. I'm about 24 days in and it's getting a bit crowded in there! The plants are growing into each other now and I think I have about two weeks growth to go. I can't believe it!

I'm with you on the variety front though. I grew 6 small ones in 6 litre pots in the same space. I was happy with the outcome but it was way more effort.

Cool guys, thanks for the feedback. This is not my first grow, just my first indoor AF grow.
I sometimes even have heat issues with my 250W, so I cant even imagine what 400W would be like in there .... ok maybe with cooltube ;-)
But I pers. think 250W is ok, and cheap compared to 400W or more.

I will do only 4 Plants in that space, I will use the 1sq foot per plant rule.

Ps. Im loving this forum.
