Hey guys as the title says I am interested in making my own seeds. I am growing the blueberry bliss for pain, but I also have some regular seeds that are blue dream. I would like to cross them both, but not sure what would happen. I am really looking to increase yield. Would the auto be wiped away if I used the male photo pollen. I am sorry if these sound stupid just never done this before

The pic in my avatar is my current project and is a photo I pollinated with auto pollen. As far as I understand the first generation will have no auto in them as it is a recessive trait. The second generation "F2" about 15% to 25% will be auto. In this 15%-25% bunch you will have to pick the plants you want and breed them again which will make them F3. I believe by this point most will be auto but not all so you want to inbreed once again to F4 which all should be auto by this generation.

I am getting ready to harvest my auto to photo F1 generation in a few weeks and go down this path. Its a long process but in the end you will have an auto that no one else has. Blue dream would make a great cross if it is any thing like the cut my friend grows. One thing in breeding is don't just pick the tallest plants for breeding. Pick large plants but not the tallest ones. You want physical size but not the tallest. Pick the plants that get wide and produce the most but sites to grow for breeding. Tall and lanky is a hemp trait. Use more than one male and female for breeding. Label and keep separate your seeds from your mothers. I like to hit more than one female with pollen because the crosses don't always turn out how you would expect. Its like people and there children. All there children usually look like the parents but some look more like the mom and some look more like dad while a few end up looking like the mail man. Breeding marijuana is the same way. Some times all your seeds are mail man :( If your using clones the seeds will be consistent so if they end up being a 50/50 cross of both parents than those clones should make seeds that are 50/50 every time but if using seeds of the same strain it is different because what is dominate to one might be recessive to another. Same plant but different seeds = different out come. Seeds are not an exact copy of the parents this is why I recommend using multiple plants and keeping the seeds from both mothers separate. One plant might make awesome seeds while the other makes ok seeds.

If your trying to create as close of a copy of blue dream as you can I would recommend growing it at the same time so you have an example to compare your offspring to when selecting parents. Don't just smell them, taste them too. Chew on the leafs and match up your auto to your blue dream.

Thanks Joe for the good info. Have you seen this product they call lady pollen. Supposedly will help make fem seeds. Was on eBay and I saw that and just started laughing

Ya I have made fem seeds before. I used a chemical called Tiresias mist. I believe it is just colloidal silver, works great. You have to use it on a female plant and pollinate another plant with the fem pollen. I have selfed a plant with its own pollen and no one has complained about herms yet but I did not trust it enough to grow them out my self and gave all the seeds away. I only grew out the other 2 plants I femed with the pollen. It was pretty funny I told the dispensary I got the clones from I was going to make seeds and they just kinda looked at me like I was stupid and were like ya that would be great. Turned I think my total investment including soil, clones, spray lighting was probably under $100 after all was said and done and I ended up with about 500 perfect seeds from the 2 plants I hit with the pollen besides the plant I got the pollen from. To my surprise though one cross turned out amazing and 1 turned out to be crap.
