Would 10 of these http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc...splay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053 be sufficient for 4 Mi5 plants veg and flower? or should I mix it up with these http://www.lowes.com/pd_46931-75774-L65TN_0__?productId=3197521&Ntt=42+watt+cfl&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl__0__s%3FNtt%3D42%2Bwatt%2Bcfl&facetInfo=? Grow chamber dimensions 21.5 W 42.5 L 50H (26 cubic feet). I have 140 cfm of exhaust and 70 cfm of intake, I plan to set them up using 2 surge protectors and adapters/y splitters so 5-6 lights on each surge protector, http://www.lowes.com/pd_117480-66906-UTPB3107_4294821871_4294937087_?productId=3306892&Ns=p_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_quantity_sold|1&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl_Surge%2BProtectors_4294821871_4294937087_%3FNs%3Dp_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_quantity_sold|1&facetInfo= ... both of these surge protectors and my exhaust fans will be plugged into a 3rd surge protector which will go to my timer, will this be an electrical hazard in any way? is there an easier way for my to hang 10-12 of these lights in this area?

If your gonna buy ten of those at $14.97 each would u not be better to buy a light or an LED with your $150? It would less to worry about with an elec hazard and take up less space..but yeah ten of those kicking out 68w each would be ok for 4 plants IMO mate

Ok thanks man... I just don't think I'm going to get the same lumen output with any other kind of lighting... 150$ for 42k lumens is a good deal to me, from the prices I've been seeing. and I'm actually going to use this http://www.lowes.com/pd_125292-16503-UTPBS010_4294821871_4294937087_?productId=1214065&Ns=p_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_quantity_sold|1&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl_Surge%2BProtectors_4294821871_4294937087_%3FNs%3Dp_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_quantity_sold|1&facetInfo= instead. Does anyone here that's good with electronics know if this surge protector can handle 10x 68 watt lights? I can either put one in each socket or space them out socket by socket and use y splitter having 2 per socket. Then I need another surge protector that can handle all this and 2 x 120 mm pc fans, any suggestions?

p.s. the surge protector is rated at 1500 joules, actual amps 15, maximum surge current in amps is 10, 125 volts... can this handle 680 watts of lighting? I also need another surge protector that handle this + 2 x 120 mm pc fans and this will be plugged into my timer.

Yeah its a good deal man,and im no elec wizard but I'd say that surge breaker should easily handle the 680w total output of your cfl's,if your in any doubt call or email the company and ask them what the max output it can take?

ok thanks man, probably stupid questions but I'm new to this and trying to be safe. ++ rep for you

both links you posted are for cfl's with a temp. of 2700k. these will be fine for flowering but you will need some 6500k bulbs for vegging.this may help thttp://www.autoflower.org/f5/lighting-pros-cons-various-kinds-71.html :peace:

I've read that a lot of people veg and flower autos on 2700k cfls or an hps, if this isnt going to hurt my grow too much I'd rather do this as my budget is already tight... I could do a mixed spectrum for the whole grow with 6x 2700k (68 watt) and 4x 6500k (63 watt)

I'm pretty sure these are actually 6500k, if u go to the specs it says 6500k and its daylight bulb, or am I wrong?

If your gonna mix mate I'd have maybe 2/3 veg bulbs and the rest flowering as autus only spend a very short period vegging

mixed fro flowering would be great but try to keep the early vegging to 6500k. checked both links again , the description on 2nd link says 2700k but the spec says 6500k . very confusing:confused:
