I've learned that foxtailing depends on genetics of the plant. As well as the type of stress it's under.
One plant out of the five I did for my first photos run started foxtailing. This was due to me having it in one of the corners of the X formation I did for the plants inside of my tent. That was my first grow ever.
I had a few initial failures with germ at the start of it all. The issue in specific is that this plant was the smallest out of my bunch, and that I had it set too high in one of the corners in relation to my 1000w HPS. Nothing bad really came of this. I still yielded well. It was a learning experience for my second ever run I'm about to do with autos in a month or so.
I did not flush. Did the research and read many posts regarding this and decided not to. Fed all the way up to the harvest. Tried the smoke at week one in cure and not harsh and taste is good. Put them in jars with 62% Boveda packs.
Next grow will be by delicious seeds IL Diavolo. Going to grow that the exact same way as i did this grow. Hopefully it will turn out like this last grow. Lessons learned from first grow is humidity during drying, was way too low this last go around.
Everyone has mixed feelings with flushing. A lot has to do with growing organic, or using bottled nutes. Organic I see know need, bottled I see the need.
ya pull you a nug off ur plant while you been feeding it 1300 bottle nuits and tell me its not the worst thing you ever smoked take all the time you need to dry and cure it. Anytime your doing only water your flushing the plant and giving it time to recover anyways. But I should shut up before this turns into a flushing war lol.
