New Grower Question for Thai Buddha Man

I posted a thread like this a little while back but was looking to get your thoughts since I have seen that you have experience with OC+ in hempy buckets.

Doing a sog style seed run with auto assassin then BHD in 2 liters. I realize the containers are small but yield is of secondary importance.

Question is, since the container is small, will the seedling burn when the taproot hits the reservoir?

I have heard OC+ is very gentle and may not be any hotter than most soil mixes for all I know.

Thoughts?

It wasn't easy. I found it on Ace Hardware's website. Went to the closest Ace and they didn't have it but they checked the computer and said they had100 in the warehouse. So I ordered one. $18.

I still need to do a test run for temps but I'm guessing it'll be well into the 80's except in winter.

My other option was to do straight perlite with no OC then put the OC in some panty hose then water through it when its ready for nutes. I just don't really know how to know when it will be ready.

I don't follow as to why you want to put it in to some pantyhose.

Normally you add the OC pellets to the perlite just above the reservoir.

This is the problem because I lose control of the when part of the scenario.

If you put some in some kind of bag full of OC+ (or use it as a top dressing) you can add it later and water through it. Think of it like a tea bag you can put in or remove to alter the strength of your tea.

The benefit of the bag (panty hose) is that I could add or pull the nutes at my discretion.

TBM, I will have to dig up your old thread breaking down store bought nutes. Any others you could recommend for hempy?

Our states share a border, unfortunately my state is fairly hostile towards "our kind". Using store bought nutes is a part of the whole stealth thing.

There was a thread on here with a hempy with regular OC (no Plus) that went well. She never finished the journal here but she did on another forum and had great results.

If I find another method, though, I can save the pantyhose for when I want to tuck it back and dance Buffalo Bill style.

I took some advice off TBM and have been using dyna grow for my last few grows,and had some good results.its also super concentrated so a little goes a long way :smokebuds:
