New Grower question about removing cola and leaving rest of plant 2 more weeks

i have a few lowryders ,they are on day 60.they look ok for there size however buds on down plant has hardly started to swell.the tops look good with some cloudy trichs.most hairs on main cola are brown --leaves are yellowing away----should i leave another week,or take top and leave rest--

More often than not the tops will finish first, although with shorter autos im finding its not by much. cutting the top cola and leaving the bottom half to mature for a couple of weeks is fine. you wont get any new growth but the buds will contines to swell

Have gotten into the habit of only cutting the top 1/3 for bud.
However,, needs to be understood that I use very little of the bud (top 1/3). I'm more into extracts and letting the bottom go for a couple weeks extra has proven worthwhile to me in my situation.
IMHO,, what you're thinking works great.
