[EDIT] So now I know what this is ill run the post as a little log of my success or failure with Hiesenberg tea ( aka worm casting tea ) . Ill leave the original post intact below also so fellow Pythium novices can see my train of thought on discovering the problem if they should happen across my post .

OP: Hi guys , I'm just hoping I can get a few eyes on what I believe to be some microbeal foam in my res , I'm quite sure but following some summer heatwave disasters , I'd rather be 100% .

So here goes Plant 1 " Think different " aprox 35 days old . Put on flowering nutes 2 days ago .
vitalink max ,Rhizotonic , carboload, cal mag , eggys humic + fulvic ( kinda chucking to myself for asking this now I made microbe paradise )

OK and plant 2 "TD" again , Still on veg nutes 30 days or so old
same feed regime , no carboload yet ... no foam .

Ok ,so ill answer this myself the "foam" was the start of pythium (root rot) .

Never seen that before ....

oh fuck ! I just have no luck these days .

So I've ress changed , washed the roots as best I can ...

Added a extra air pump so that tank is up to 30 litres of air per hour , closed the only tiny light leak I can find in the bucket .

Also since its sunday and I can't get hold of any peroxide or ho2o the res change is heavy on enzymes , BNzyme , Vitalink bio pack and bio pluss and a small splash of canna rhizotonic .

Hopefully this enzyme soup will do at least some good along with all the added o2

This is basicly a result of spreading my pumps too thin .

I use helia v30's split 2 times "30 litres per hour" in to 20 litre buckets . I recently got greedy and split them again 4 times "15 litres per hour" per 20L bucket .

Thanks for the link , good old worm casting tea Of course ...

Well looks like ill hit the garden store and get some casting's tomorrow , start bubbling some tap water tonight .

Ill keep this thing updated for a post or 2 .

First application of Tea was introduced yesterday , to infected and uninfected plants alike . Unfortunatley in the rush to get some tea on my girls I didn't take pictures Ill grab a few later today when the next brew is nice and frothy .

Heres my recipe

40l water ( airated for 24 hours before mixing ingredients )
5 cups of worm shit
2 tbs of seaweed extract
Half a cup of presoaked porridge
1 tbs of carboload
2 tbs black strap mollases

Bubbled for 36 hours , would have liked to leave for 48 to make sure sugars were depleted but needs must and all .

Pic of todays brew , been brewing for 4 hours only .

After brew report , The morning after ....

So things don't look good despite the ress changes and tea treatment yesterday , the pythium seems to be still in force . even taking hold of the plant from the OP that had no sign's before . heres a selection of pictures to show how quickly things have gone downhill . I'm amazed how fast this has taken hold and literaly melted the roots off the plants .

Heres Plant 2 fromt he Original post , as you can see despite the tea seems to have developed pythium overnight .

And here's plant 1 from the op , pretty much beyond hope at this point imo .
