A much friendlier place, where good-natured banter is accepted and obliviots don't start calling you all sorts of things and troll you because you dare to point out the glaring issues in assorted news stories, where you get shot down for suggesting a means to bring in legalisation (it's all about the numbers, people, the more names recorded calling for such a thing, the greater the pressure that can be brought to bear), where you point out why politicians of all colours are <insert slang and offensive description for female genitalia here> yet get hammered because you dare to say that about someone's preferred party. So, as I said in live chat, I issued a request "to be forgotten" under GDPR and, to the site owners credit, it was complied with within hours. Unlike another site who are about to find themselves in a LOT of trouble for deciding such things do not apply to them and will soon find out exactly how many laws in the country in which they claim to be based they routinely break. I'm not the sort to "name names" in these cases, I feel such a thing is unnecessarily childish and stirs up unnecessary inter-site rivalry which is a waste of everyone's time, so you'll never hear me saying that, using an example of a site I never joined because I didn't like the layout of the forum, "ICMag are thunderclunges" as that is something I don't feel has any relevance whatsoever, it's enough to say that this place is better than some rivals, except when it was someone getting in a strop because he thought his generic Chinese blurple flood was worth the price he paid because he actually believed it was an American product, and that was funny.
Play fair to me, I'll do anything and everything I can to help you out no matter how much more it damages me. Start playing silly buggers with me, well, you find that is not a good path to follow. And that's a rule I've lived with in the real world, having brought "professionals" such as doctors and LEOs down to their knees and out of a job with no hesitation, for if you bite me then you'll find this cute, happy, smiling little doggie will turn into a rabid pittie who will sink the teeth in and never let go until you have breathed your last. It's a lesson I learned long ago, I got screwed over once to often, and when I changed my attitude in that respect it was not long before others changed theirs towards me and the world around me became a much friendlier place.
Anyway, this is an unnecessary diversion, glad to see you
@BWM , and of course I'm always going to be interested in how your "frankenpanel" is going.
