First grow and am using pro mix hp and did Not add perlite or anything to it, which I'm regretting now bc it will not dry out. Any ideas on how to assist it in drying out? I'm trying to keep humidity at around 40% and heat around 75 but it's still really wet. Can I risk dropping the humidity (day 15) and/or raise heat to help? Thanks for any ideas.

hey buddy you had any luck yet? usually get pretty quick responses here but the occasional post slips through the net. not a soil grower so cant help unfortunately but youd be best getting your humidity up a bit. 40s way to low for veg.

Hey, thanks for the humidity info. I'm trying to dry out the pots so keeping humidity low...but, it worked and I was able to feed them yesterday! Humidity is now around 50%.

ahh nice one : ) theres a couple good threads about propper watering techniques on here somewhere. i know the theory but ive never practised it. @jingo im sure knows his
stuff for soil. its so hard trying to remember who grows with what round here. always too baked to remember lol.

What kind of pots are you using? I seen guys drill holes through the side of their hard-sided plastic pots to kind of make their own custom air pots, that'd help them dry out a lot quicker.

What are your plants looking like? I'm not sure you need to feed As early as 15 days with promix. It's supposed to have enough nutrients to get you through the seedling phase. Then most guys will pH to about 6.2 when they feed.

Hiya, I'm just using regular plastic pots with lots of holes drilled in the bottom(didn't hear about side drilling until later) and holes lining the rim for lst. Pro Mix HP is what I'm using and it doesn't really have any nutes, just a couple types of lime, mycorrhizae and a wetting agent. I plan on taking pics later today and will post them. They are enjoying their life it appears.

I will certainly check out cocoa in the future. It was my mistake with this pro-mix hp...I was told to add more perlite to it, I didn't. About drilling holes in the side of pots after grow has started.....this is day 20 and one of them is really getting big, will I risk *any* permanent damage if I drill a root?

No it won't cause any problem. If you have a leaf or two you'd like to clean up it's always good to do that whenever you push something into your pot. Kind of prune a little above as you do below. At least that's the way I do it, usually around 3 weeks time I shoved pulls down into my pots and then I clean up a few leagues around the base of the plant. Or maybe I take a bunch of fans off the top of the plant it just kind of whatever that plant happens to need.
