So il be putting my germinated seeds in 22 litre (5.8gal) airpots in bio biz light mix soil with 30% added perlite.. I'm curious on weather to presoak the soil 24-48 hours in advance of planting??... Anybody have experience in this??...if so any guide??.. What's the idea behind it??

Back when I grew in Ocean Forest, I would water to some runoff, then plant seeds 6 hours later. It worked for me anyway.

I find that method functional with my air and fabric pots. I get the dry weight (12lbs. with my soil) then slowly saturate to very slight runoff and get that weight, (19lbs. I then put pot in my grow environment and place my seedling when it loses 1-2 lbs. For the first 3-4 weeks I water with 16oz. condiment squeeze bottles, never exceeding 17lbs or going below 13lbs. I know it's anal, butt it works for me. Pics 3/18 and 5/6, Auto BlueBerry Domina

BB light mix drains well on its own and really doesn't need extra perlite but I guess you need it if you plan to overwater....lol
Used BB LM for years with no amendments....Just moisten properly and plant a seed. I grow in 2 ltr pots usually which is easy to check moisture content...but in larger pots, I'd rely on a moisture meter.

I tend to be abit heavy handed on the water.. Extra perlite help with that.. Even when I try not to be... Plus its tricky enough in 22 litre pots
