Hey all,

I'm just scratching things together for my new grow area. Shouldn't be too far off now. I have worked that there should be enough space for either, 6x 4.5litre pots OR 4x 6.5litre pots with about 60-65 cm of usable height above the top of the pot.... Or should I do 4x 4.5 litre pots to allow more growing space? The 6.5 litre pots are 5 cm taller

Which is my best bet? Do you think 6 plants in smaller pots have the same potential as the 4 plants in the larger sized pots given that they only have about 2 feet of vertical height.

Any ideas greatly appreciated. I've been weighing it up for days

so thats 2ft including light space i think 5cm is not going to make much difference id go for the 6.5 but its a tough one but i think you need to use shorter strains. depends on your floor space would 6 pots give enough room for the plants or get shorter squat pots

Yeah I have 2 foot plus additional space for the light.

Haha it's a puzzle ain't it? I really want to have a proper shot with deeper pots as I am currently growing in a small cupboard with tiny 1l pots. I guess whichever size I choose from here I will notice a difference

I have got loads of seeds at the moment. Lowryder 2 and chronic Ryder plus 2 auto northern lights and 2 auto budda that I got free from herbies.

whats the floor space size

I would run 4x 6.5l
but it depends on strains 6.5l for the 20" or ak crosses is a bear min but if you were running lr2 or sub 16"strains maybe the 4l pots but id rather have the space for ventilation and help avoid mold

Gotcha. I hadn't considered mould. I Have never grown a hefty plant before but i think i'm ready to give it a try.

I think I have been asking alot from my girls so far and I hope that this could be a big step towards making things more worthwhile.

Thanks for the advice

your plants are as good as you weakest link light air nutes media genetics they all help

Yeah I'm slowly realising that. It's just not as simple as I first thought haha

I'm quite happy with the lowryder 2,s and I think I could do much better with them before trying newer strains.

I think i will get there eventually ;)

if you have them already crack them but there alot better yield wise strength wise
