Grow Mediums Poll on autopot failures

For those having flooding issues, ours was flooding out the tube cut out. Zero nutrient build up..brand new actually. The water was just not shutting off because the Rear of the autovalve was to high and the internal float couldn't shut the water off before flooding. I shaved the rear of the autovalve so it would sit deeper / further down the mount. This fixed the problem just like i expected it to.
Provided is a picture. Just use a file to remove some of the material and remount. Repeat test.

So the modifications made to fix the issues we have encountered with these test.

1) shave a V in the back of the auto valve body / mount so the back will mount lower / flat.
This removed the extra water needed to turn the valve off

2) fabric pots can fill the shallow channel in front thereby blocking water from reaching the back of the dish. So using 1.5" pvc cut in half fixed this. https://ibb.co/5nLBbDt

HemiSync - They are working good after my small modifications. I would really like to try the AU version as they use a separate raised plate / root plate.

I'm finding the pot sock / root guard is pretty restrictive and capturing lots of the heavier nutrients i'm adding....acting like a filter. The bottoms are caked and we are experiencing Mn deficiencies compared to before using autopots / root guards.

Picture of the Hydro tray. It looks better to me. Not sure if its the same company. They wouldn't respond to me. Valve is the same just more compact design. http://www.gardensmartshop.com/Hydrotray_12_Single_Black_p/418a.htm

Hi there I am new to this site I am turning for urgent advice

I have 8 xl auto pot modules

Now every single pot is overflowing.....
I have cleaned each module and turned the valves upside down, cleaned and reset them

Still the pots are flooding and going everywhere

Now I have turned the tap toa. Quarter and it seems to be OK.... But as soon as I turn the taps full the room is flooded... Is this because the water is dispersing to fast and to much or is it a valve/seal problem?

Hope I can get help off somebody thank you very much.

If you remove the vale from the tray and reinstall it while there is water in the tray there is a chance that the internal float won't have enough air space to cause the float to rise and close the valve. Try turning off and removing a valve, empty the water from the tray and reinstall.
