Hi,

This is my second grow. It is Girl Scout Cookie grown in a pot outdoors and is 4 weeks old.

The plant spends morning by a window to get morning light and then I take it outdoors later in the morning. It has its "back" to the wall so there is no light coming from behind it.

When it was a seedling, it was growing at an angle towards the sun. A straightened is with a pipe cleaner and toothpick stake. But a few days after taking the stick away, it naturally started bending again towards the light.

The plant looks really healthy, so I didn't really think it was a problem. My assumption was that the plant knows best how to position itself to take advantage of the sunlight so I let it be. It gets plenty of light but maybe because its a bit early in the year the sun is lower in the sky? Creating an angle?

I wanted to ask here if people think I should I fix it? Straighten it out with a stake and string? Rotate the pot so the other side is facing the sun so the plant corrects itself?

Or should I just let it keep growing and provide support if it gets top heavy and starts tilting over towards the ground when it flowers?

Rotate the pot every now and then.. It's growing towards the light source. If the light source was directly above, it would grow straight up.. Plants grow towards the light.

Thanks Proph. When you put it like that it seems really obvious. I will rotate pot 180 degrees tomorrow.

And if you feel a need, you can always just do some mild LST and tie/pull-back the bent stem.

She does look really pretty. Whose GSC genetics are you running here? She will definitely figure it out for herself if you just spin her right round baby, right round like record baby. Ok I'll stop

Your plant is growing towards the light source, try rotating it around more. You can train it with some LST if you'd like to try and straighten it out.
