Incredibly excited to have the opportunity to run seeds from this mythical breeder. Massive thank you to @TheMongol and @Waira for this chance. Seeing the lineage, that Durban, and the effects were enough for me so here is a bit from the SSSC

Both Durban Poison and Pineapple can be considered as classic, old school varieties by now. Pineapple Poison can be grown outdoor and indoor. To create Pineapple Poison we crossed the original Durban Poison from South Africa with an old school Pineapple Skunk (unknown origin). It took the master breeder 5 generations of crossing to achieve the desired result, a very stable and potent fruity variety.

The Pineapple Poison is a very vigorous plant and easy to grow, especially outdoors. The sativa characteristics of the Durban Poison are very noticeable during the grow cycle. Indoor the plants grow in between 1 and 2 metres tall and outdoor she can reach up to 4 metres, resulting in a bumper harvest! Ready to harvest at the end of September, beginning of October.

The smell is very exotic and punchy, pineapple fruit and hints of anise from the Durban Poison. The taste is fruity and the pineapple flavour is followed by the anise flavour which remains as after taste for some time. The buds are very compact and frosty, very commercial for an outdoor variety.

So far I've prepared a solution of B vitamins, humic, and kelp to let the seeds soak in first. In the mean time I will prepare my substrate.

At the moment my flower tent is occupied but here's what I'm working with. The mother tent was originally for peppers and tomatoes otherwise I would have 5000k - sue me lol :vibe:

Mother Tent 4x4 with vertical shelving -

    3 x 185w Bridgelux EBG2 Fixtures in 3000k
    Aircare Evaporative humidifier
    InkBird controllers
    100cfm iPower exhaust
    Growpito
    Growpito Beneficials
    Mega Crop

I keep this one around 80-84f/65-75% RH. Everything gets hand watered from the bottom in here.

    Flowering Tent 5x5 -

    500w Bridgelux EBG2 fixture in 3000k
    3x3 Flood table
    55g reservoir
    Growpito
    Growpito Beneficials
    Mega Crop
    InkBird controllers

    2/3 Sprouted
  • Now I'm cooking with grease! 2/3 seeds have fully sprouted while one seed has cracked it's shell. I'll tag some people if they don't mind

Once everything gets going I'll post videos to IG - same name exactly as my AFN name- and excess photos there. Gotten into a bad habit of taking 200+ photos per grow, for science, so yeah. Everything is shot with my OnePlus 6T or Jiusion digital microscope and post processed with Adobe Lightroom.

    Day 3 - Veg
  • One of the seeds was a failure. The tap root was nonexistent but the shell came off. It's still planted just in case but no expectations.

The other two are doing just fine.

  • Idk wtf is going on but slow to develop so far. I'll check everything but it has been a really slow grow. :kitty:

    I know what's wrong. :kitty:

pH was in the low 4s for a couple of weeks.

I fucked my whole garden up. Nothing died just taking much longer. Day 30 sucks.

I transplanted them to a 1 gallon fabric pot while fixing the pH issue.

It was partially a pH problem but my source water is too hard. Morning Glory, succulents, bamboo, etc. are all dying from tap water. Tested some plants with distilled and they are coming back but I need RO. I switched to MC 2 part and everything is growing, albeit slowly, so this isn't really a solution. I'm hesitant to take cuttings until I get RO but both plants have one cutting I can get good right now.

    Day 51 - Veg
  • I'm picking up an RO system tomorrow but in the mean time the plants took to the transplant fine. Still undecided what I want to do with these but one plant has 6 cuttings plus I have around 21 from some others and 7 Dinafem.

They started growing and I burned one of the leaves

Not sure when I'm going to start flowering but I would like to fill the table. Hopefully before the third week of September but I don't think the Dinafem will be ready to clone so I probably won't keep any mothers :kitty:

    Day 60 - Veg
  • Well RO is up and running delivering 0ppm 5.6ph water. I took clones from the larger plant and ended with seven. The other is doesn't have enough branches so I'll probably just take one.

Spent all day squeezing Growpito as I flushed everything and conditioned more. We'll see how long they take to root and maybe I can start flowering in October.

  • I have a blog entry with all my current strains going while I fix all these plants. The blog is preferable for me but I can't get one in breeder forums yet so I will run both. Mostly the same stuff I post in the individual threads just in a cleaner format imo.
    F | T |F Growery: Ace+SSSC+Dina+Sannie's+RO Rehab

    Completed  F | T |F Growery: Ace+SSSC+Dina+Sannie's+RO Rehab

don't like grow journals, maybe others do, I don't. Welcome to my ACE+SSSC+DINA+RO: Rehab project. Got my RO system, 8ft flood tables for food, and 100+ gallons of Growpito to condition. I'm participating in the Dinafem battle that I am incredibly, severely behind on, and also the SSSC...

Anyways, things are getting better and I'm already seeing improved root growth. I cut seven clones from the other pheno but waiting a bit more on the smaller one before I take a few cuttings.

Soaked the cuttings in humic and kelp for several minutes then into the Rhizopon>Growpito. Both phenos were super cropped a week ago or so but the small one looks bad still. Roots are shooting out so I believe top growth will follow.

Also, if anyone in interested there is a short video below of the Axeon RO system running.
