Photography Phototron 2 Blast from the Past!!!

I ran across a old Phototron 2 at a garage sale awhile back for a few bucks. I remember seeing them in certain magazines and always thought they were cool.

I have no idea how they got any yield out of these things originally so I stuffed a 90W Prosource Led I already had and a fan in it and got new 3100k bulbs as those were as close to a flowering spectrum I could find so far. So here it is back from the Grave!!!!!

I will probably tear out the CFL's and replace with some T5's as time and money allow. Its just a fun project for now

Just saw one for sale on craigslist not too long ago. But they wanted $200 for it. Bet you paid a lot less. I've seen one other grow done in one. Actually produced pretty well and it was just standard, no added LED.

I had a few of those in college. Had to start everything off at 12/12 light or else they would easily outgrow the Phototron during flower. Smaller autos would work well.

The grow is rocking a long now. The plant has started flowering nicely and the hopefully the newer 3000k bulbs will help out.

It will be interesting to see how long they take with this light setup. If you have grown Onyx how long did yours take?
