im a new grower, and i got some afghan kush ryder seeds, as well as some white widow photo seeds, consequently i germ'd all of them at the same time, and i have them planted and ready to sprout..can they coexist in the same grow room, under a 1000 watt hps for a light period of 20 on and 4 off untill I harvest the auto's? then ill switch the time to 12/12 to flower the photo's..possible right?

Welcome to the site grow
Yes they can co-exist
True autoflower will flower under any light regime you will be fine:) Good luck and keep us posted

Auto plants are generally shorter than photo plants.

Growing them both under the same light can cause problems with the height of the lights.

The lights usually end up too far away from the autos and too close to the photos.

damn...well i got som t5s, and that 1000 watt, maybe once it becomes an issue, i can train them under different lights..so you think that even the hps being 1000 watts will be too far at 5 ft from the pots?

Wait a bit and someone with more knowledge will chime in.
I haven't grown both pt may be right. But it may depend on the strains as well.

Possible? Maybe....but:

If you use 20/4 for your auto plants until they are finished, that means you will be giving your photo plants 10 or 12 weeks of vegetative growth before you put them into flower at 12/12.

Do you realize what that will do to the photos, especially a variety like WW which tends to be tall with long node spacing?
