Yet despite proving it won't cause hermies, I'm still going to duct tape it now lol...
Mesa' my man, how ya doin'?
I find this light sensitivity thing to be rather variable, cultivar to cultivar, even pheno diff's can come into play...
The amount of light coming in, it's intensity, wavelengths, and duration are all mitigating factors too for sure...
My OD girls get light (-pollution- LOL) from the house and neighbors outside lighting too, not strong mind you, but most of the night/all night, often... About full moon strength at most so that may be why it's seemingly benign...
So far I can't finger it for any issues caused by it. When I porn shoot at just after dusk-ish I use a flashlight/low setting to help the camera focus and help me get it framed up in the pic. Now because it's just gotten dark, and the hormone phytochrome form reversal deal isn't really far under way yet so there's that as a caveat....
I do get the infrequent bean or two, but that could be due to other things. To date though, zero confirmed hermies at all, hell I didn't even see what nanners may have caused the rare beaning, but it's not hard to miss really...
Still, it's wise not to tempt fate! From what I hear from the real NLD type Sativa growers, this side of the family (especially landrace/heirlooms types) can be quite bitchy about light pollution, but then they are often hermie-prone to begin with so any exacerbation factors can trigger that shit!
